Yeah, and I found all 4 to be quite entertaining, especially Campbell, because I was really sure Luke was going to win that one

Haney looks way taller at the weigh in and appears like he could easily carry some extra weight on fight night if he wanted to.
Linares in good shape as always, looks fired up so lets see what he's got left tomorrow.

Linares is the measuring stick. The pressure is all on Haney.

Haney has already done damage control, saying he’s not gonna go for a KO, but if it comes then he’ll take it.

Yeah, I read that (thanks to you, of course). But that does not release the pressure. Lomassiah dispatched Linares definitively, three years ago.

This is a good measuring stick for Haney but essentially a no win situation. If he takes Linares out early, it will be written off as the Venezuelan being finished (Cano did him in 1). If it goes to a decision, no matter how dominant, the boo birds will be predominant.

Haney needs to walk the talk; surgically dominate and take the KO if it comes, and move on.

Do wonder what Haneys's handlers are doing, second fight in a row where he's had a no win situation. At least this one SHOULD be a more eye-pleasing fight than Gamboa, but the same issue. If he wins by stoppage he did what he's supposed to against an older opponent with a clear issue (Gamboa being smaller and Linares being very vulnerable), if he fails to stop his man he loses yet more shine and falls even further behind Lopez in the eyes of the public.

Yes it's good to get names on your record, sure, but he also needs to get wins over fighters who are still relevant, not guys blown out by Cano 2 years ago and without a relevant win since.

Well he is old and shop worn. If Cano hadn't blasted him out in 1, I'm sure Linares would have made it a closer one.
And his late career flourish did end soon after the KD of Loma :verysad:

I do like the DAZN buildup content.

This thread is no better than a C+ security-wise.

While I fully expect Haney to win, some of the odds iv seen seem very harsh on linares. He definatly has a chance, even old linares is fast as fornicate and decent power.
