Nonito´s left hook was clearly after the bell. The only excuse is Oubaali also threw an uppercut at the same time. Bad refereeing, he should have gotten closer to the boxers after the ten second signal.

It seems now it´s legitimate to throw one extra punch after the bell as "I couldn´t stop myself". Referees and TV commentators don´t seem to mind, they call anything "at the bell" or "borderline low" for the matter.

Nayou was supposed to avenge his brothers loss, but I guess Donaire got there first.

While Nonito turned back the clock, with a dollop of controversy, the most impressive boxer on the Showtime card was Russell. Who wants to be next up for him? :maybe:

Matias was damn impressive as well, breaking down an unbeaten world ranked contender in a thrilling fight.

Showtime won the night against DAZN, by some margin

100% agree. DAZN wasn’t bad though.

Thanks for reminding me. Between bouncing back and forth between the shows, I lost track of which fights were on which shows a bit.

Russell and Matias were equally impressive, with Matias edging him out based on level of competition. Fuzile was not far behind though, on the DAZN show, and he may be the best pure boxer.

How often do we get this kind of critical mass of talent on one Saturday night of boxing? :maybe: I can’t place the last time.

I guarantee that next week won’t come close.

Don´t you hear the bell clearly way before he even starts throwing the left hook? I do.

Defend yourself at all times.. Both boxers were engaged... ref didn't get involved quickly enough. Shit happens.

Agree with JCS. It’s unfortunate, but it wasn’t a dirty shot. Ref made the right decision by giving Oubaali another chance.

Outstanding from Donaire, im surprised to see him take out Oubaali in that fashion, took control of the fight with that straight right, kept nailing Oubaali coming in and and out but its that left hook that finshed matters, both quality lefts for the knockdowns in round 3 especially the second one that came at the bell, that was a finisher, big uppercut for the KO in round 4, sat Oubaali down

Usually after the 10 second warning, the ref gets closer waiting for the bell and jumps in.

Reiss is nowhere near the action.

Plenty of refs are much closer towards the bell and literally jump on risking their own face from a hook.
