Yeah I was just thinking I wonder what Smith is like in meeting? Does he growl and use endless cliches and a slightly melodramatic style? I bet he growls “And Johnnyyyyyyyyyy. Rrrrrrrrrememberrrrrrrr to mentionnnnnnn the JAKE. Paul.Coco wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021, 08:14 It would be great to have McCrory and Darke commentating again and Dempsey would be my presenter too, I guess Jim Rosenthal is knocking on a bit!
I like Barry Jones and Paul Smith a lot too.
With the Sky team they have to tow the company line. Nelson gets a lot of stick. And deservedly so, but he speaks well and has great knowledge and experience, just a pity he is not allowed to show it.
Essentially Smith has to take the blame as he is the head man.
Money. Mayweather. Pay per view fight. ONLY aaaaaaaaaavaillllable on Sky box offfiiiccceeee!”
Nelson: “Yes Adam.
Anything you say Adam”

As far as working in presentation/punditry goes, Nelson is the biggest fraud out there
For reasons best known to himself, that Donkey's arse Smith brought Nelson on board to the Sky team years & years ago and he's still f#cking sh#t. The rot really set in when Nelson was sworn in

Great knowledge slightly undermined by his belief Tennyson takes out Gevontay Davis.Coco wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021, 08:14 It would be great to have McCrory and Darke commentating again and Dempsey would be my presenter too, I guess Jim Rosenthal is knocking on a bit!

Johnny has had his day and needs to be quietly taken out side and dispatched humanely.

I'm sure Nelson doesn't think that of Tennyson, he tows the line and collects his pay checkMightyWarrior wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 03:50Great knowledge slightly undermined by his belief Tennyson takes out Gevontay Davis.Coco wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021, 08:14 It would be great to have McCrory and Darke commentating again and Dempsey would be my presenter too, I guess Jim Rosenthal is knocking on a bit!

Enjoying Dave Allen a bit on Fightzone. Sounds pissed, maybe he is, but speaks well IMO.

Fightzone have done well to get Alex Steedman
He adds a lot of cachet to any boxing on TV.
