Weights: Floyd Mayweather 155-Pounds, Logan Paul 189.5-Pounds
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
I actually think that FMJ will come out of his shell and slice/dice this kid. It will be much worse for LP if he happens to land a solid shot on FMJ. Much, much worse.

floyds always thinking ahead
how he deals with this dude will be based on how he thinks it will impact his future prospects
does he make it a bit competitive so make a rematch possible? or maybe if he really slices him up it will heat up a fight with jake, the real best of the paul bois

Floyd will take it easy. This is clearly a work where he isnt going to embarass a non boxer but will make sure to land enough punches to show everyone who is the boss
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
I don't understand what this is.
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
Is Vegas taking bets on the fight going the distance or are they only taking action on Floyd to win or Logan to win? If there are no bets on it going the distance allowed then that's exactly what's going to happen.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 19:41 Floyd will take it easy. Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
i think they made it so no officical winner to spare floyd another loss, currently his real record is 41-8-1 and they cant have that reaching double digit Ls
castillo 1 (decision loss)
maidana 1 (decision loss)
pac (decision loss)
oscar (decision loss)
judah (dq loss)
ortiz (dq loss)
mosley (tko loss -- shouldve been stopped)
corley (tko loss - shouldve been stopped)
canelo (draw)
arguably shouldve been dq'd for elbowing and holding hatton as well, so can make a case for him being 40-9-1

You forgot berto. We all lost that night, floyd included
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
Castillo 1 I definitely agree with, Maidana 1 you could make a strong case for. The rest of them nah.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 21:40 i think they made it so no officical winner to spare floyd another loss, currently his real record is 41-8-1 and they cant have that reaching double digit Ls

Though he was lucky that he didn't get DQ'd against Judah. Though it would've been no fault of his own. I'm glad he didn't. That would've been a bullsh*t ending to that fight, and it would've been giving the DQ win to the guy that just intentionally low blowed his opponent.
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
I’ve never fully understood the Maindana outcry. I thought Mayweather clearly kicked his ass.
Barring Castillo, De la Hoya Mayweather is the tightest of the bunch in my opinion. I’ve watched it several times throughout the years and have scored it for both interchangeably.

i didnt think floyd kicked his ass but i did think floyd won a very competitive but clear decision, 116-113 or 115-113 is how i had it
thought maidana was ahead 4-2 at halfway, but then didnt give him another round until the 12th. basically maidana had a great first half with a huge output and even a good jab that was scoring, but then he both tired and floyd got his rhythm down, and floyd potshotted him for the rest of the fight except round 12, which floyd coasted in

Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
I agree with your round summary. 4-2 sounds right at the half way point based on Maidana's activity rather than quality hard shots. I saw many glancing shots, many ineffectual shots albeit they were scoring. The hard shots were far and few between. Maidana tired (as you said) and Mayweather walked him down and out-punched the puncher in my opinion...It wasn't a simple out-boxing...'Kicking his ass' is maybe too strong a phrase but I felt Mayweather was clearly the boss in there and inflicted greater damage throughout (esp down the stretch). It goes down as one of the most entertaining Mayweather fights. I rate the Cotto fight above it though.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 00:41 i didnt think floyd kicked his ass but i did think floyd won a very competitive but clear decision, 116-113 or 115-113 is how i had it

FMJ won the first Maidana fight close, which gave him the excuse to waste another date dancing with Marcos rather than giving one of the young lions a chance, like ODLH did for him, and Pac has done for several, now including Spence.

Yh, he’s never given back has he? The opportunity that given to him.
Only Canelo, but he was very green.
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - June 6, 2021
It’s fair to criticise him in this way. He’s had a negative lasting impact on the sport in my opinion, as I don’t believe boxing is on a good trajectory, regardless of the huge paydays some of these fighters have received since his departure. If I was to describe Floyd, without explaining myself, I see him as a poor mans Michael Jordan.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 05:28Yh, he’s never given back has he?
