great fighters who couldnt punch or take a shot
Re: great fighters who couldnt punch or take a shot
Gianfranco Rosi wasn't a 'great' fighter, but he was a solid world champion who was stopped in 5 of his 6 losses and only stopped 18 in his 62 wins.

America's John Tate was knocked out in the 1976 Olympics by Cuban giant Teofilo Stevenson but he did well in his early years as a pro. Never a great heavyweight, he showed great character in making his way to South Africa at the height of Apartheid and outboxing Gerrie Coetzee and Kallie Knoetze in front of huge white crowds. He then suffered a shocking knockout loss to Mike Weaver in his home city of Knoxville and was also knocked out a fight later by Trevor Berbick. The dream was well and truly over for big brave John.

I wouldn't say Calvin Grove was great but he was a very good talented boxer 49(18)-10(7)
Not a big puncher and reputation as chinny , but on closer inspection he also couldn't of been that chinny if he went the distance 34 times.
