Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - 6 June 2021
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - 6 June 2021
Btw... I’m very much on my lonesome but I had the Canelo fight 114-114.
I don’t like his style of throwing just a few eye-catching punches a round, showing off slick defensives that catch judges/fans eye and then coasting late in fights.
Saying that though; he’s was the best fighter I ever seen and those days from super feather to light welter he was fun to watch.
Castillo beat him, mind.

It is that pitiful beard, the fact he does not stand up straight, and his pathetic attire. He looks like a lawn jockey troll gone homeless.

Sky must have tweeted out the PPV details 100 times today…suspect buys are appalling low for this. Wonder how much Sky paid for the rights? Someone may get fired over this
Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul | Exhibition - 6 June 2021
That would be precious. The whole thing flops and puts everyone upside down, with lawsuits being fired in all direction like a western movie shootout.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 13:00 Sky must have tweeted out the PPV details 100 times today…suspect buys are appalling low for this. Over the past couple of decades Mayweather must of have loads of fighters of all abilities turn up at his gym and challenge him. I bet he can’t believe his luck getting paid millions to school a novice.

How on earth did you score that fight a draw? Did you score positively for Alvarez getting hit?Dioufy wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 10:15 Btw... I’m very much on my lonesome but I had the Canelo fight 114-114.

I’m well aware I’m in the minority but I didn’t score many of the late rounds for Floyd for coasting and I give Alvarez a couple of the early closer rounds on aggression.Wee Tommy wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 16:26How on earth did you score that fight a draw? i like floyd but the first maidana fight was definitely close, he lost at least 4 rounds in the first half and 1 in the second clearly to me. he hardly got started until round 7 and maidana was like a man possesed the first halfsmiling assassin wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 07:20Neither of the Maidana fights were close. There was no way either fight were closeironbeard wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 04:48Are you talking to me, or the great poster in the sky?
FMJ fought Marcos Maidana twice in 2014 (May and September). He struggled mightily in both. In the opinions of a significant chunk of people, he lost the first fight, which gave him the excuse to waste another date dancing with Marcos rather than giving other young lions their shot.
Whether his gifts and skill set declined between September of 2013 and May of 2014 has nothing to do with this. Whether he has declined in the 7 years since a limited (though dangerous) Maidana fought him even is the question (which is obviously rhetorical)?
FMJ is fighting an 0-1 YouTube influencer rather than Spence or Crawford or Charlo or Josh Taylor because the YouTube influencer will not tear him to shreds the way the current rulers of 140-154 would.
End of....
for me a clear floyd win but defo close, not a case of 'they all hating on floyd!'

Listen, I’ve already said I’m in the minority but we all have one or two cards that we individually score different from the vast majority of people - this is mine. I can’t remember the in-depth round by round analysis from a fight 7+ years ago and if I watched it again then I might score it very different. My feeling on the night was that Floyd was very accurate and hit Alvarez a lot but there was some rounds where Floyd’s low punch output vs. Canelo trying to make the fight become marginal calls to me. I seem to recall giving Mayweather none of the last 4/5 rounds but like I say... it was so long ago I can’t recall and it’s just taken me 3/4 mins to remember my password to reply to your ass.
But it’s my perspective on that particular fight. Most of my scores over the last 15 years have been more or less inline with others but sadly just me and Adelaide Byrd stand together on this (well at least I think it was her).
And I’m ok with that.

Mayweather is slated to make a minimum of $30 million for the fight he admitted earlier this week.

Na cause that dints your legacy and effects every thing he markets himself for going forward. If money may wants money he needs to show vunrability, get hit, not dominate and then horrifically KO Logan.Liston Like Jab wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 19:31 If you were Floyd Mayweather and you wanted to earn some serious money, if you want every single person on a planet to watch the rematch, you would lose this fight tonight. It's an exhibition so it doesn't go against your record and there is no price that could be put on the re match.
Then you set up the revenge fight with Jake Paul who is a bit better, and you make that fight a pro bout , that way with Floyd’s shown vunrability it’s viewed as a competitive fight so:
-floyd haters tune in for the chance for him to lose his 0.
- with the heavy KO Jake Paul haters get a bit hard thinking about the possibility of it happening to him.
- boxing fans say they don’t care but as it gets closer curiosity creeps in...

agree , the way to go is the jake paul fight, so he should beat up logan but make sure to look a bit vulnerable during it
get da people thinking, well if logan caused him problems, jake is gonna ktfo him! 50-1 !!!
