I’ve read that Floyd’s guaranteed minimum purse is $10m, coupled with him also receiving a 50% guarantee of the total PPV revenue.

It was a PPV event in multiple countries.

The media are speculating that Floyd will earn $100m from the Logan Paul exhibition, but even of that figure is a tad optimistic, Mayweather will definitely receive a massive payday.

Floyd wouldn’t have taken the fight if he wasn’t being handsomely paid.

He’ll probably earned a bigger payday for a single fight than any fighter (not named Canelo) will receive this year (assuming the Tyson-Joshua bout is pushed back until 2022).

I’m assuming you’re sceptical of the figures being quoted, because you’ve spent more time asking others to cite the amounts being claimed than it would have taken you to acquire the information for yourself?

Just say that the media are talking nonsense, the event was a commercial failure and Floyd only earned pennies.

I hate to break it to you, but the vast majority of the money earned by big-name fighters is funded by mainstream casuals that know very little about the sport of boxing.

The hardcore die-hard boxing fraternity generate only a trivial amount of income.
