You could probably already make an argument that Matchroom are the global leader. They’re really the only promotional company to be doing shows regularly around the world, promote the 2 biggest stars in boxing in AJ/Canelo and are putting in the biggest shows shows in terms of attendance.
On the last PPV buys Jake Paul is bigger.
He’s doing an amazing job pushing himself but I’ll only count him as a boxer when he fights another boxer.
Also the reported Ppv buys for Jake Paul’s last fight are worldwide buys not just in the US so it’s impossible to compare.

Is this the same Tyson Fury who took the time to appear on Eddie Hearn's podcast last week? Even Tyson needs Eddie at the moment.
True but Tyson can just as easily do an interview for this morning, could do a uk/us ppv without it being Joshua in the opposite corner.
The only boxer than can be a star without Eddie is Tyson, such a shame as it could be argued that the #1 and #2 p4p in the uk are not matchroom fighters
No argument about it.
Taylor turned down Matchroom for Top Rank as they could deliver the Ramirez fight easier. For me he's the best fighter in Britain and hardly anyone knows who he is which is a shame.

Yes Matchroom are undoubtedly the global leader...and Eddie has come such a long way from bring laughed at and the "who" comments from the states.....but I wouldnt go as far as to say he is a dominant global leader yet.....PBC and Top Rank still have their appeal and can get a fighter good tv deals and meaningful fights.
Top Rank and PBC are still bigger in the US but neither really are doing anything outside of the US (bar the Frampton fight in Dubai). Matchroom are doing shows in the U.K., Italy, Spain, US, New Zealand, Uzbekistan and are likely to be in other countries once Covid settles down.

They’re certainly not dominant though.
Almost all the biggest American names are still with Top Rank and PBC too. He'll need to get a few of those on board before claiming dominance in the US. Hearn only has 1 of the top 10 P4P if you're counting Canelo as a free agent (Estrada).

Yeah - fully agree that he doesn’t have many of the top US names. I’d be surprised though if Canelo stops with him though given how big the show was on Saturday and how well it was seemingly promoted.

Just AJ and BJS (who will be underdogs in their next proposed fights).
Is Lawrence Okolie going to be the new flag-bearer for Eddie?
another one bites the dust.... Okolie, King of matchroom, Connor benn his young prince.
at this rate Johny fisher gunna be headlining by the time he is in an 8 rounder.... ( kinda joking but frank just did it with David Adeleye who is pretty comparable to johny, without the fans...(

Even the ones that box 2 minute rounds are losing their belts.
