(i know he said it, but noone belived it really). Wilder has had 18 months to come up with a way around that, is it try dance around back foot a bit then load up 1-2s trying to get fury on the way in, or is it just to embrace a fire fight, chin or be chinned within the first few rounds...
I personaly think he needs to go the latter, the question is if he does is if he does at that point what are the odds on this fight? Id say fury wins 3 times out of 4, so still a big risk.
It looked to me like he's spent at least a year of that crying and moaning and getting stoned and drunk. I doubt he's done anything boxing related particularly, and definitely hasn't worked on his lack of boxing skill, which we all know wasn't the reason for the loss. With the commission inspecting Fury's floppy gloves properly this time and removing the egg weights, making sure there's enough padding, Evil snake Breland no longer in the corner, his water not poisoned with muscle relaxant and his Eyes Wide Shut Illuminati costume being significantly lighter, there's no way he can lose.

Plus, you know, he's been hitting the pads with his best mate in his spare room.

I think this is a live fight. Wilder could have just taken step-aside money. That has to tell us something about his ambition here.

He was completely out-boxed in the first fight and was relying on his big punch as usual. So nothing has changed in that sense. Plus Fury is clearly looking beyond him no matter what he says.
?
If I remember didn't Fury burst Wilder's ear-drum or something like that... What if there is no such injury this time?

I think this a nightmare fight for Fury in many ways. I'm looking forward to it.

Yep. Everybody can claim this is a foregone conclusion, but Fury still must get in the ring once more with that right hand.

Easy for us to make light of it.

if fury wins again, does a chance of a right hand bomb make a 4th fight interesting

that's interesting, guy wins with a 60-52 knockout, and yet an immediate rematch with the same opponent, who couldnt beat him in a previous try either, is a nightmare for him

not often you hear that!!

i mean, wilder can punch of course, but perhaps its not just as simple as wilder flattens him with 1 big right, which of course can be easy to buy into because it's just so simple. 'omg he only needs to land 1 shot over 36 minutes' etc.....it's easy to invisage it becacuse it doesnt take a lot of imaginative work does it. just 1 moment, 1 and done

yet fury is the guy with the ko win in their meetings....and wilder's had 18 rounds and couldnt beat him. im not as sure that wilder is furys nightmare, let alone in 'many ways'

The chance of Wilder knocking Fury out cold (again) and the canvas on the back of his unconscious skull being the only thing bringing him back from the brink, makes it high risk for Fury, no matter how much you and the preponderance of posters choose to crap on the matchup.

Personally, I think that a minimum of half of you continue whining because you fear that Wilder will finish the job this time.

I am convinced that Fury will win again, based on Wilder's inability to learn/adjust, and I would have preferred AJ v Fury and Wilder v Ruiz Jr. or Whyte or Parker...but I still find this fight interesting enough, especially with the scheduled undercard, to want to see it live, one way or the other.

:OhYes: Yes, finish the job he started in the first fight, and all his hardcore haters and Fury disciples like to erase from their collective memories.

As I have repeatedly stated, I think that Fury will win the 3rd fight, but those waving it off as a foregone conclusion are fooling themselves. Fury knows that it is not a foregone conclusion. Wilder is coming to take his head clean off, and he has the ax that can get it done.

Furys tactics will be interesting. Wilder believe funny business in the 2nd fight made Fury confident enough to fight off the front foot. Everything will be checked thoroughly this time you'd think. I wonder if Fury goes on the backfoot all night like he did in fight one.

Wilder flattened Ortiz with one of the best right hands in history. Fury is rightfully a big favourite. Nobody is arguing that. But for Wilder to get befuddled in fight 1 then severely smashed up in fight 2... and not take step-aside money... That tells me he's taking it serious.

Also, if a stooge like Weeks or Bayliss is ref then if Fury so much as slips they will wave it off.

What happens if this time Wilder doesn't flinch when Fury does his double feint? What if he just throws?

Again, I'm not putting a penny on a Wilder win but will I be glued to the TV? Yes. It will be tense.

I'm buying this event because:
1 - Massive curiosity about Fury/Wilder. What will change? (not really sure if anything but interested enough)
2 - Love the undercard.

wilder has at least an outside shot vs any one, in any fight due to his power, never said it was forefone conclusion at all either?

im just curious though, wilder even if he loses yet again will still have that huge fight changing power, so if fury wins here would a 4th fight still be interesting to you? cuz wilder put him down before and can punch huge? maybe he finally finishes fury?

and who knows, maybe wilder can put in another 116-110 clinic  :yay:

i guess i just have higher standard for what equates to a 'nightmare' opponent

there are good fighters who just have their number gotten by another guy and will get smashed up each time by them. that to me is a nghtmare, not someone who you just battered 60-52 and havent lost to in 2 meetings

would you be interested in a 4th fight if fury wins again? after all wilder has that best right hand in history , all he needs is 1, he put fury down before and the 4th time could be the charm

Not without both having several fights leading back to it. That is extremely unlikely to happen.

As I have repeatedly stated, I would prefer Fury v AJ and Wilder v Ruiz Jr., Whyte, Parker, Joyce, Wallin, etc.

Unfortunately, this is what we get. I am still intrigued by it.

press conference: How to watch, UK start time & location

The event will be live streamed on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook and will be held at the Novo by Microsoft in LA.

Fans of British boxing will be no stranger to the news that we will have to wait a little longer in the hope of a unification fight between Anthony Joshua and Fury; plans for such a fight could well be in tatters if Wilder is to cause an upset against Fury in their legally-binding trilogy fight.

With the first fight ending in a draw back in 2018, it was clear fans wanted to see the rematch, having been witness to Fury seemingly rising from the dead after the whole world thought he was knocked out, as well as to all of the controversy and debate that followed thanks to comments made by Wilder.

The event today will be streaming live on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook pages for Top Rank, PBC on FOX and Premier Boxing Champions. The presser will also be streamed on ESPN.com and on the ESPN App (no subscription required) as well as the Fox Sports App and FoxSport.com.

The event will take place tonight at 1:00 pm. PT, which is 9pm UK time.

Well, it's hard to pick Wilder off the back of fight 2, but surely he can't box as badly as he did then. Perhaps Fury might go in over confident?

Fights 1 & 2 were very different, it's hard to predict how the third will go.
