Obviously Spence would be well aware of what his opponent is up to in his home country. Presumably Spence will be on his own stack of whatever.

Since testing is a complete sham, why wouldn't he be?

The sport of boxing obviously regards its stars as more important ($$$$) than the integrity of the sport.

It would be an exceptional top fighter that is totally clean in 2021.

Second tier boxers/money earners are not so immune and will have to take their chances of getting thrown under the bus / enforced timeout.

these bois probably all stabbing their arses full of peds

instead of paying money for vada, they should use that money in a fund to help less financially set boxers get all the drugs they need or something. let's see some super humans duking it out :bag:

it was funny though, i saw some dude who was accusing pac of peds get mad cuz someone said errol probably uses too. dude was like 'errol never failed a test so stop hating'. .....but you know who else never failed a test :oo

I tend to agree. Only thing i can think of is lack of faith that manny will be clean. IF manny comes in with the hormones of a 25 year old, and the haemoglobin of a Himalayan Sherpa then its a dangerous fight for spence.

Haemoglobin is the stuff in your blood that carries oxygen. Sherpas have lots cause they live at mental altitude. Steeling sherpa blood would be a crude way to gain indurance, it was more for a laugh, realistically hormones pluse EPO would be the cocktail that would make manny a fornicating beast.

Spence Discusses Future Move To 154: I'll Be Stronger, Sharper And Could Throw 1,300 Punches

Errol Spence Jr.’s future as a welterweight does not appear to be a long one.

If Spence can’t secure the long-desired super fight against Terence Crawford, he’s packing his bags and moving up to 154.

“I most likely have two more fights at 147,” Spence told Barbershop Conversations. “I’m going to go across the street [to Top Rank] to see what they're talking about [for a potential Crawford fight]. If they are not talking about nothing, I'm moving up to 154. After the Pacman fight hopefully we can make something happen [with Crawford].

“At 154, I'll definitely be stronger. I'll probably throw 1,300 punches per fight at 154. I'll be a lot sharper and stronger at 154 … Making [147] is very challenging. I have to stay focused. I'm actually getting a dietician to make sure I'm losing weight the right way and still staying strong.”

Spence said he needs to stay in the gym in order to comfortably make the welterweight limit.

Before his last fight against Danny Garcia in December, Spence weighed as much as 185 pounds while he was recovering from a scary car accident in October 2019.

“You give guys a lot of time off and a lot of money and not doing too much, I’m going to blow up. Time and money is a recipe for disaster,” said Spence. “I need a reason to stay in the gym. The time is now to do what I need to do and accomplish.”

Spence (27-0, 21 KOS) said the state of his physique this time around is a different story as the WBC and IBF welterweight champion prepares to face legendary Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao on Aug. 21 in a FOX Sports pay-per-view in Las Vegas.

"I'm strong as a tack right now. I’m feeling strong. I'm about 158 right now. I'm back working with [Traylon Curry, also known as Blue Ray]. He takes me to another level. As the rounds keep going, I keep getting stronger and stronger.”

I'm thinking weight issues. And the Garcia fight aside, we still don't know if any issues from his accident could pop up later, or if he's going into this slightly injured.

Victor Conte's claims might be true, since VADA haven't confirmed Spence Jr's or Pacquiao's enrollment in their testing program.

We're about eight weeks away from the scheduled fight-date and Pacquiao's been in his training camp for the last three weeks.

So he may have been training without being tested. And of course, the same applies with Spence Jr.

This matters, because a "clean" Pacquiao is a much bigger underdog in this fight than an entirely different version of the same man that "isn't being tested" (if you know what I mean 😜).

There's really no excuse he'll be able to give. If he loses to a 42 year old Pac, just like Thurman, his star power is crashing down to Earth never to rise again.

Truth be told, if he loses to Pac, he will deserve that. Not happening though. This will be Pac's last fight. Over his head in this one....even with a weight drained Spence.

Pacquiao-Spence Showdown Heads To T-Mobile Arena In Las Vegas

Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence have a home for their upcoming superfight.

Boxing Scene has confirmed with event handlers that the unified welterweight title fight—which headlines an August 21 Fox Sports Pay-Per-View event–will land at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The matchup of top welterweights was first revealed by Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) and Spence (27-0, 21 KOs) through their respective social media pages on May 21, at the time merely listing Las Vegas as the destination though not specifying a venue. Loose talk surfaced of the fight possibly moving to another location once plans were announced for WWE Summerslam PPV event to head to Vegas on that date, with the event taking place at Allegiant Stadium, home to the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.

Unconfirmed rumors had Pacquiao-Spence possibly heading to the greater Dallas area, where Spence—who hails from Desoto, Texas—has headlined in three of his last four fights. The story never had legs, as the region’s most attractive venue—Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, where Pacquiao and Spence have fought twice apiece—hosts a Dallas Cowboys NFL preseason home game versus the Houston Texans on that date.

Pacquiao will make his 22nd career appearance in Las Vegas, though his first at T-Mobile Arena which houses the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and hosted its first boxing event in 2016. The 42-year-old southpaw and eight division titlist from General Santos City, Philippines has spent 15 of his 21 prior Vegas appearances at MGM Grand Garden, which was previously rumored to host the event. Pacquiao’s last two fights took place at MGM Grand, including a 12-round decision over then-unbeaten WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman in July 2019.

The status of the WBA title being at stake for this fight remains under review. Pacquiao was downgraded from WBA “Super” champion to “Champion in Recess” due to extended inactivity but has since filed an appeal to have his title reign reinstated. Yordenis Ugas was the benefactor of the aforementioned move, though a successful appeal by Pacquiao will move the Cuban welterweight back down to WBA “World” titlist.

It will also change the status of the August 21 fight from a unified WBC/IBF title affair to a three-belt unification match.

Regardless of the ultimate stakes, Spence will still attempt his second unified WBC/IBF title defense and sixth overall of the IBF belt he claimed in an 11th round stoppage of Kell Brook in May 2017 on the road in Sheffield, England. Spence added the WBC belt to his collection following a well-earned split decision victory over Shawn Porter in their thrilling September 2019 unification bout at Staples Center in Los Angeles—his lone fight among his last four to not take place in the greater Dallas area.

Spence is coming off of a 12-round unanimous decision win over former two-division titlist Danny Garcia last December at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The bout with Pacquiao will also mark his debut at T-Mobile Arena, along with his first Vegas appearance since June 2015 when he scored a 3rd round knockout of Phil De Greco during a four-win 2015 campaign that saw him advance from unbeaten prospect to rising contender.

The event gives Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) two major boxing shows at T-Mobile Area in a span of just four weeks. The venue will also host the July 24 heavyweight championship trilogy clash between lineal/WBC champ Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) and former long-reigning titlist Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs), headlining a PPV venture jointly presented by ESPN and Fox Sports.

Ticket prices begin at $105 and top out at $2,505, with additional price points to be revealed ahead of Friday’s general sale. Tickets will be made available during a pre-sale event taking place Thursday, June 24 before being made available to the general public Friday, June 25.

Speaking to EsNews Spence said:

“I don’t know. We’ll see. Whatever comes, knockout or decision, either way. It’s going to be exciting though. Yeah. More people know Pacquiao (than Crawford). He’s an icon in the sport. It doesn’t matter what demographic. Everybody knows who Manny Pacquiao is.”

On a future fight down the road with pound for pound star Terence Crawford:

“I don’t think it lost the steam (interest). I think if we fight it will pick up steam.”

Spence is the obvious pick but Manny is certainly a live underdog. He's been gradually slipping for a loooooong time but its unlikely that there will be a dramatic decline from the Thurman fight. It'll be interesting for a few rounds then about midway Spence will pull away. It'd be nice to see Manny pull off one last great victory though.
