Looking back with hindsight, a very steady decline since Martinez. Prior to his decline...he was decent enough but a weight bully. Memorable fight with Lee - enjoyable action. This last loss is disgraceful and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a coke fiend. Time to go to rehab, time to just become an ordinary Instagram celebrity/reality tv star as you don’t play boxing.

Jr looked terrible. The SD was a farce, Jr barely won a round or two. Silva vastly outgunned Chavez, outmoved and roughed him up, busted his face and even felt free to taunt him in the corner hands down. Jr looked like a novice, clueless, occasionally trying to swing like a drunken redneck in a random bar. He woke up a little bit only for the final round. The 46 year old man with a 1-1 boxing record outclassed Chavez. Probably Julio will lose even to his dad, if they face now. Daddy gotta whoop the stupid kid for doing drugs instead of working hard.

It looks like that wasn't enough for the naughty kid. Daddy gotta whoop him hard in an official bout / exhibition in front of a crowd to make it a truly punishing lesson.

He was never worth a crap. He was a weight drainer who scored a come from behind ko on andy lee, a paper champ. He had 1 good round against sergio.

Brian vera beat him.so did matt vanda. In his prime he was a journeyman level talent. Couple that with lack of desire, age, and not training and you have chavez jr losing to old shot mma fighters

Honestly i think everyone here who thought hed somehow win was nuts the odds were dumb too

Can't believe people here were so sure Chavez Jr, who sleepwalked his way to a 120-108 x 3 loss to Canelo at 154 and couldn't even make 182 three years later, would win this fight.

I guess no one else here watches MMA. I probably didn't expect Silva to win but I knew it would be a competitive affair due to his natural skill and, more than that, Chavez Jr.'s somnambulant style.

Especially after Chavez missed weight for by far the highest weight of his career, and fighting a guy who is a regular at 185 with proven punching ability and good evasiveness.

MyBookie has Chavez listed as a 5 to 1 favorite. Which is a steal.
Hope ya didn’t load up on that... be a heart breaker to see just how shot charves can be. (Fair play to Anderson, he actualy looked like a boxer in there)
What was the result? It's listed as P8 which is not a result I've ever heard of.

It's just still listed as a future bout (pending, 8 rounds), Silva won by SD but in reality Chavez barely won any round.

Former IBF supermiddleweight champion Caleb Truax expresses anger towards Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.: "They offered me [last night's] fight vs Chavez Jr. I accepted, then a few days before I was supposed to fly to Mexico to announce it, I heard he bitched up and went with Anderson Silva... I glad that fraud lost [to Silva]. Hopefully boxing is rid of him."

I'd like to see a Chavez-Broner Thunderdome death match. With maces, Chainsaws, whatever. I've hated Junior since the first time I saw him fight, his face makes me angry. Impressive how far he's fallen. He always was a bum but at least he had some power and could take a punch. Starting with the Canelo debacle his skills have completely eroded. He should never be allowed near a ring again but we know the cocaine and hookers he earned from this fight won't last for long.
