10 Rounds Heavyweight Bout
Either "Smokin" Bert Cooper swarm all over Ferguson with body shots and head combination shot to take a decision or late round knockout or stoppage or would Ferguson would out-box "Smokin" Bert behind his jabs and combinations to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Re: Heavyweights: Bert Cooper vs. Jesse Ferguson
I brought this one up several years ago. They always intrigued me. They each fought a lot of the big names, and almost always fell short. Sometimes they were competitive, sometimes not. Hard to say what would have happened had they fought each other. Cooper looks better on the high light real, but was a little more likely to have a meltdown.
Re: Heavyweights: Bert Cooper vs. Jesse Ferguson
Cooper at his best was clearly better than Jesse. Cooper by early KO.

Man, I just love the idea of this fight. So plausible, too.
Missed opportunity.

It would have interesting. At a certain point, both of these guys became the "usual suspects"; opponents for better fighters who badly needed a victory.

Styles make fights. Cooper may seem like he'd likely win,but somehow I see where Ferguson, aka-The Boogie-Man, would have his number and offset "Smokin" Bert Cooper's offensive barrages with effective awkward defensive tactics and such.
I'd pick Ferguson,The Boogie Man, by a sloppy clinch filled close but clear cut decision win.

Think Ferguson would decision Cooper as well.
