Front of the house - DAZN UK

Post by rhino222 »

So who is going to front the programme from a boxing perspective. Will they have to go down the 'equality and diversity' route and employ a one armed gay guy with tourettes, or will they just get the best people for the job? Will anyone from Sky 'walk' to DAZN?

I would quite like to see Paul Dempsey front it with Johnny Nelson alongside.

Providing tactical breakdowns and analysis id like to see Woodhall and Jones or Macklin or any combo of the 3.

Nelson and Macklin are with Sky..

Woolhouse also.

I think we're getting Bellew in commentary, probably Barker and Smigga too..

Front of house, we'll have to wait and see.

We may get Kate Abdo.

lol, a one armed gay guy with tourettes would be better than company johnny. just get the tourettes guy to the ingle gym a few times and you'll love him soon enough

Eddie said today on his instagram that an announcement will be made on Monday. He also said that the team would consist of the best lead commentator in the sport?

Who is that? Darke has been out of the sport for so long that he surely cannot be considered the current best? I'd say Costello but he seems BBC through and through and very much skilled at radio commentary. That leaves us with American commentators, not Lampley as he's tied up with Trilla, so is it going to be Max Kellerman? Buncey will be livid!!

As for other talent, sure it will be Kate Abdo, Paulie Malignaggi, Chris Floyd, Darren Barker, David Haye, Carl Froch.

Nobody that really stands out to be honest.

Al Bernstein? - often overlooked when people consider the best lead commentator debate.

What about Jim Lampley - does he do anything since HBO shut? Edit - sorry read the previous post about Trilla.

I guess any British guy though could be bought out of their current contract - with the finances Dazn are offering. So could be any Brit - Darke is universally considered the best even though he's not done it in a while - but there are also fans of Steadman, and compared to Adam Smith then John Rawling and Nick Hawling are more popular.

Off course Eddie is going to say its the best - he has said it from the off. He also said fight camp mark 2 will blow us away and it has left me uninspired.

As long as they keep Bunce and Bellew away from it I'll be happy.

Froch is an odd character for sure - but I quite like him commentating.

Well we already know Chris Lloyd and Darren Barker on the team. Would like Costello and Darke on the team.

yeah plus he's the kind of safe choice that everyone gets along with so he's unlikely to divide opinion or cause controversy

he takes too long to get to the point, why use 5 words when you can pretend to be an intellect and use 175. The bloody round would be over before he had described a decent left cross with about 56 adjectives. Its a no from me,

She'll be the lead won't she?

Anyone watch her on Crouchy's thing?

She went out with Stormzy too.

Nice to look at.
