Julio Cesar Martinez vs. Joel Cordova - June 26, 2021
Re: Julio Cesar Martinez vs. Joel Cordova - June 26, 2021
Still even after the 8th but Matellon is giving it away, with these circumstances.
Re: Julio Cesar Martinez vs. Joel Cordova - June 26, 2021
Either Matellon blasts Argumedo out now, having some good chances, or he faces a hometown decision.

115 - 113 Matellon... but wait for it...

Guessing martinez gets the KO win within 3 or 4 rounds here. Cordova is just chosing to trade and coming off second best. fun to watch but.
p.s camera work and lighting is eh compared to PBCs show on right now. Considering how much shit eddie has been talking about production...

This looks like its in fast fowards, love watching the little guys. Eddie hearn will be saying "that was a war" quite a bit i predict.

Cordova is not afraid of bringing some assault, despite being down every round so far.
Re: Julio Cesar Martinez vs. Joel Cordova - June 26, 2021
Huge leading left hook from Martinez drops Cordova. Cordova hurt, Martinez finishes him.

cordova needed to take a knee or just grab and not let go. Easy with hindsite, but cant get his that much after a knockdown and expect it to keep going

El Rey molly whooped Cordova with that left.

Good tear up that, fair play to Cordova he came to win, swinging shots from the rafters and took a round or 2, Martinez was dangerous as well though, his shots more compact and had that quality on them, great action though, great sweeping left hand for the knockdown in round 6, caught Cordova with another on the way down
Im not a massive fan of the stoppage, Martinez was teeing off with both hands with Cordova on the ropes but he looked like he was riding out that storm and was throwing back when the ref jumped in, you'd have fancied Martinez to get Cordova out of there soon after anyway but thought ref got his timing wrong

Martinez shook the rust off a little then proceeded to human buzz saw Cordova. I love watching this little guy fight. He’s already talking higher weight classes. My mouth is watering.. Choc, Estrada, Cuadras, Inoue.
