who does tank fight next?

Post by margaret thatcher »

who does he actually fight, not who you want him to fight

teo: NOPE. not with pbc (they love in house fights for tank) and being moved toward loma rematch
loma: see above
haney: not with pbc and too young and promising for his team to match him as an underdog rright now
garcia: see above
taylor: not with pbc, too tough of an opponent when factoring in the weight
prograis: is pbc affiliated i think. though i think the risk-reward vs prograis at 140 isnt right for tank
ramirez: not with pbc. a tough opponent but not as good as taylor or prograis i think, plus good style for tank
ugas/jamal james: go for yet another belt in another division, vs pbc fighters.....but i think this will be seen as a bridge too far

i think more realistic as his next opponent

gary russell: pbc stalwart, has a belt, blazing speed match up, about time to cash out isnt it
fortuna: pbc affiliated , can win the wbc interim in his next fight to have unification fake hype
issac cruz: getting pbc love, slugger, was just showcased last week
robert easter: pbc stalwart, former champ, not top tier at 140, very boring style though lately
chris colbert: pbc affiliated and getting hyped, has a secondary title. i think they want to keep building him though

my guess would be russell

I accidentally clicked Loma thinking it was who do you want him to fight..

my guess is it wont be a top 130 or 135. easter or garry russle seem like good picks. Broner at 140? Kinda makes sense, Original broner vs new and improved broner for the king of the reg belts. Id quite like fortuna, they are both little southpaw bangers.

The good thing is, i really feel tank cant go back to trash, his last 3 fights havent been great but have had a sellable angle..

This isn't even worth spending time on sorting it out and suggesting something. It'll just be a bum.

LSC and Barrios are not bums.

No, they aren't, but Barrios isn't elite either. Davis has been fighting frustrating opposition mostly.

Another hand-picked PBC fall-guy. Another PPV. Another sell-out in a town with a large black population.

The wheel keeps turning. :bag:

Not sure about Prograis status. He did the triller card. I think he’s freed up enough as a logical opponent for Tank to KO.

I think Isaac Cruz, is Mikey Garcia at 140 possible? Tank seems to like Hispanic opponents.
I would like to see Gary Russell Jr. VS Tank, Washington D.C. VS Baltimore seems a natural Rivalry and Maybe have Adrien Broner VS Russells Brother Gary Antuanne Russell

Ellerbe said Tank would be ALL PPV from now on, I wonder if they try to see if even Isaac Cruz would sell?

I picked Loma. I really doubt if he could KO Loma, but could knock him down. Loma is so good with his footwork and positioning when he punches, I see Loma decisioning Tank. Not sure if Tank has been in deep waters either, so the jury is out whether he would quit or not. Great fight though, I'd pay to see it. I see a 116-112 type of decision in favor of Loma.

Gary Russell is too light to fight Tank now though it would have been a great fight for the DMV. His brother Antuann who is 140 was also an Olympian and looked great in his last fight but he’s not quite ready and the Russell’s would avoid it like they did with Gary. Shame.

Is he really going to fight under 140. I say no. How can it be Gary Russell?

Gary Russell is still wondering why Crawford is avoiding him. https://www.badlefthook.com/2020/8/25/2 ... ford-fight

Tank last fought at 130, so him fighting Russell isn't a stretch weight wise.

So you think Tank's team want him to be tight at 130 just to fight someone who he's the A-side to?

I don’t think it will be Gary Russell because Gary fights at 126. When Tank was 130 it would have been a great fight but Gary’s people didn’t want that fight. Antwann is 140. He hasn’t really fought anybody really good yet as they are building up his record like his brother. Antwann got skills. A Baltimore vs DC fight would be big in the DMV like back in the days when all the great Philly fighters would fight each other regularly.
