Cruiserweights: Marco Huck vs Yoan Pablo Hernandez

Post by DrDuke »

Who would win the civil war?

Both in prime, sometime around 2009-2014.

They had the most notable common opponents in Cunningham and Arslan. Huck went 0-1 against Cunningham, Hernandez went 2-0. Huck went 2-0 against Arslan, Hernandez went 1-0. But all these fights were close, while Cunningham was quite shabby by the moment of facing Hernandez, while Huck was pretty green at the moment of facing Cunningham. Overall, Huck's resume is better than Hernandez' one. Both of them could be hurt, while Hernandez wasn't able to impose his fight, when he faced someone more or less threatening. I guess, Huck would impose a dirty brawl on Hernandez and take an advantage of it.

Huck by close dec, possibly late TKO.

really good matchup, my hunch is that hernandez is up on points but it starts to get really tough late for him. either gets stopped from 10-12 or just survives for a close decision
