Six Degrees of Boxing Game

Post by generic screen name »

Kinda like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon game, connecting a who fought who on boxing, For example

Lightweights- Heavyweights
Shane Mosley, who fought Winky Wright, who fought Jermain Taylor, who fought Bernard Hopkins, who fought Roy Jones, who fought John Ruiz.

Different Eras
Mike Tyson, who fought Larry Holmes, who fought Muhammad Ali, who fought Floyd Patterson, who fought Archie Moore, who fought Rocky Marciano.

I would be impressed if someone can get Strawweights to Heavyweights.

I was thinking about this the other day. The different eras is a good one. I tend to do that when I'm looking at the records on Boxrec. Guess you'd have to find someone that had covered a lot of divisions. Duran & Hearns are 2 modern era fighters that spring to mind.

Take out Patterson and you can get:

Tyson, Holmes, Ali, Moore, Marciano, Louis

Or even

Butterbean, Holmes, Ali, Moore, Marciano, Louis !

Ruiz, Jones Jr., Vinny Paz, Greg Haugan, JCC, Eduardo Acosta

Heavyweight to Flyweight!!!!!!!!!!

If you count Roy Jones Jr. a HWT, you can continue off from Acosta and find his opponents at Light-Flyweight (107 pounds). Two more pounds makes Straweight...the lightest weight class.
