tim tszyu vs micheal zerafa
Re: tim tszyu vs micheal zerafa
Certainly is strange given the public call outs, trash talking and money on the line. When I first heard the news, I thought in one clean swipe he just tanked his entire career, and the public opinion seemed to reflect that.
The excuse was so poor that its hard to imagine what other predicament caused the withdrawal without an honest explanation. It must be deeply personal. Christ, it would have been easier to just say he actually had covid.

Would'nt have a clue ,, I would only be guessing , and making stuff up ,, Guy i spoke too said , theres more to it , and it will come out eventually ,,,margaret thatcher wrote: ↑02 Jul 2021, 15:05 so what would it be that's actually going on then? give us some ideas
Thinking about it though , Hearn saying Dazn are coming to do shows in Aust where are they gonna get boxers from , theres hardly any here ,, , Zerafa , may be a good signing , but not if Tim hands him his arse ,,, Huni may be a good signing but not if he loses in the Olympics ,
But thats only a conspiracy theory , that i made up ,, really who knows , only thing i would be sure of its not Fear , Zerafa , wil be scared of no one

Australia vs France is playing rugby Wednesday night, surly an unexpected clash. 7:30 start planned but that’s nearly always 8. Meaning 8-9:45 ish. Unless this card tries to go extra late. But I predict it’s getting called off.
Re: tim tszyu vs micheal zerafa
Just seen an interwiew with Zerafa and his trainer,, he cklaims he never pulled out ,, Said tims
Team promised exemption from quarantines ect, and dispite keeping promising them failed to deliver,,,
He claims they suggested postponing for a couple of weeks , and next thing they got someone else,, There not blaming tim say it was his promoter kept saying they failed to deliver ,,, but does,nt actualy say deliver what
Get ready for a lot of back and forth blaming

I believe that's the last time we ever see Zerafa's name mentioned with Tszyu. Piss poor effort from the Victorian.
Re: tim tszyu vs micheal zerafa
Think you may be right there , if ever Tim wanted an excuse not to fight him he's got a belter now ,, Zerafa well he kept saying Tims promoter failed to deliver , but would'nt say deliver what .... His trainer also said , get Tim to Melbourne we'll pay him a million dolars ,, ,, Don't know if theve really thought this one through ,,, just saying we did'nt pull out they failed to deliver is'nt really a good excuse is it ,,,, But with saying that I find it hard to believe they contacted and arranged the other guy in on e week ,,,, It will all come out in the wash ,,, but in the meantime Zerafa has done his name more damage than a loss especielly a close loss would of done

Full speed ahead by the promotors for this Wednesday night.
Final word on Zerafa - thanks to his and his team's orchestrated litany of excuses, even promotors with a half a brain would not touch them now.
As for the Tszyu versus Sparks bout, there is a very old boxing axiom - "a good big man will beat a good little man."

Well it was pointed out , and it came true , Tim was too big and strong for him ,,, Can't really understand why they took that fight ,, Sparks is up and coming but jumping 2 weight divisions was really silly ,, except for being told wht a hero he is for saving the show , he's not really got much out of it ,, I hope he was well paid .
Then regards the weight he came in at 69 kilo ,, stuff me that just tells you he really was,nt ready for it , that extra weight just slowed him down , He was always too small for Tim ,, regards Tim they really do have a problem on there hands , he got caught regular by Sparks , what do you think the top 5 world fighters wil do ,, Theres levels in boxing , and Tim is above local level , but no where near world level , his managers have got there work cut out ,
Personaly i think the Smith fight would be a good one for Tim , that will tell them excatly where he is

Re: tim tszyu vs micheal zerafa
I think Spark took the fight because it was opportunity that was never going to come later. Tim is only going to go up in weight. Spark has nothing to lose and everything to gain; it only lifts his profile and name as far as promoting himself.coneye wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021, 18:33 Well it was pointed out , and it came true , Tim was too big and strong for him ,,, Can't really understand why they took that fight ,, Sparks is up and coming but jumping 2 weight divisions was really silly ,, except for being told wht a hero he is for saving the show , he's not really got much out of it ,, I hope he was well paid .

Yep he got stopped by a bigger fighter; but he didn’t take a beating to the head; his chin held up; he got dropped by body shots from a guy that is known for it now.
I don’t think Spark loses anything in this fight tbh.
Agree Tim got hit too clean; he either thought he could walk through Spark or he really needs to work on head movement; he was lucky Sparks power didn’t come with him in the way up in weight.
Exciting things for Australian boxing ahead.
Re: tim tszyu vs micheal zerafa
It was an early night up in Newcastle with all five men's bouts finishing early. Due to the late change in the main event's pugilists, Covid lockdown in Greater Sydney, limited capacity in the hall, the promotors and pay-per-view may have taken a bath.
Ironically the only fight that went the journey was the Linn Sandstrom and Natalie Hills six-round majority draw in their fight for the vacant ANBF Australasian female super-flyweight title.
But two of judges need both a guide dog and a visit to OPSM as Hills landed by far majority of telling and scoring shots She should have been given the decision, but she was robbed her of victory in a shocker by those two judges.
