Jack Massey stops Engin Karakaplan
Chapel-en-le-Firth's Jack 'One Smack' Massey (18-1, 4KOs) came back with a bang against Frenchman Engin Karakaplan (14-8-3, 6KOs) on July 2 in Sheffield.

Records may well show Massey as an IBF European champion with a shiny belt but in reality it was an easy nights work ..…his opponent was stopped in four last night but the truth is he’s not had a win for over 6 years !
Not sure where they dig these opponents up from but truly amazed it can get sanctioned as a title fight !
Last nights headliner doesn’t do the sport any favours IMO.
Who’s kidding Who ?
The 50/50 ,toe to toe fights promised from Fightzone have not materialised .

I had to cancel Fightzone as I’m getting annoyed Witt these fights. Yes, I understand their ethos of bring through fighters but some of the mismatches are worrying.
Yes, it’s cheap. But if I don’t watch it, then it’s expensive.

Re: Jack Massey signs with Fight Academy
There have been a couple of good fights on FightZone but the vast bulk are poor mismatches involving a fighter who isn’t even trying to win.
There may be an occasional upset (like when Fidoe beat Harker on his debut) but they’re extremely rare. Some of the main fights have been well matched but I just can’t see growing demand for the app with shows like Friday’s.

Like I say… I had to cancel… a few weeks ago there were some good fights indeed. But the last few shows and the ones that are upcoming hold zero interest for me which is bizarre as I’m a hardcore fan.
I don’t expect 9 fights that are 50/50…. I don’t even mind 4/5 fights where there’s one clear favourite… but there’s got to be a few 1/3 odds either way fights on any card.
The production is amazing on Fightzone. I love Dave Allen on comms and I like all the diverse personalities they have on to speak.
I just don’t enjoy the boxing.

I’m hanging on in there with the subscription for the time being but I’ve been very disappointed with the great majority of fights on offer so far .
I don’t have any issues with young inexperienced lads learning their trade with the regular journey men over 4/6 rounds but there does come a time when they need to have some sort of competitive fight where they are properly tested .
Fridays show was again poor one sided action where the results were never in any doubt and I’d say the winning boxers would learn as much or more in a competitive spar behind closed doors .
A lot was made of 50/50 toe to toe action but that’s not been the case .
There must be a plethora of unbeaten fighters around the uk ( with around 6/8 wins ) who should be willing to fight and I got the impression these were the fights they were going to promote and still back Boxers with a competitive loss . Unfortunately that’s not happening and the unbeaten tag is being preserved with knock overs or an easy nights work.
The production as mentioned previously is first class and the interaction with a variety of guests is a welcome break between fights .
Hopefully the action will improve, if not I and no doubt others will call it quits .
