Forum issue

Post by aicheligad »

I was making a long post, spent almost 2 hours on it and then when I wanted to submit it, the forum asked me for password - I got logged out and the post was gone :witzend:

2 hours on a post? :oo Were you typing out your life story or something?

Anyway, pro tip - if you’re ever writing a long post on a forum or social media, make sure you copy it to your clipboard before submitting. That way you can simply paste it into a message again if you get accidentally disconnected from the internet or simply signed out of the site.

I've never in my life spent 2 hours on a post.
But the copying to clipboard is a great suggestion. Thank you

2 hours is mad but I have lost some long posts in my time on here, for that or related reasons. I generally save as I go these days if it's getting on in length, but sometimes I forget or just get complacent and then I wish I had.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one obsessive enough to use a word processor for longer arguments. :D

Should have gone just press back a few times. It can re-appear. Then just copy it..

Or next time type it in a word doc or something. Then paste it into a forum.
