Frank W who promotes top rated super middleweight Zach Parker, would love to lure Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to the UK for a big stadium fight.

Parker is the WBO's top rated contender. He returns to the ring on Saturday night and faces Sherzod Khusanov at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington.

Parker (20-0, 14 KOs) continues to sharpen his skills and has stopped his last three opponents.
Canelo, who holds the WBO, WBC, WBO super middleweight titles, is expected to return in September - and the frontrunner to face him is IBF world champion Caleb Plant.

Should Canelo unify the weight class, and remains at 168, he will certainly have to deal with a few mandatory defenses - with an order eventually being issued by the WBO to make a mandatory defense against Parker.

Warren could even see the WBO handing down that order in the aftermath of Canelo's next fight.

"Maybe after Canelo's September fight [the WBO will order him to face Parker]," Warren told Sky Sports.

"Of course . Zach has always talked about his dream of fighting at Pride Park. Maybe Canelo will be in the opposite corner. Pride Park or the Emirates, or even the moon! We just want him to get his deserved shot as soon as possible."

Canelo has a solid record of defeating UK talent.

In his last fight, back in May, he stopped Billy Joe Saunders after breaking his orbital bone. In 2020, he dominated Callum Smith over twelve rounds. Besides those two, Canelo knocked out Amir Khan, Liam Smith , Ryan Rhodes and Rocky Fielding. He also decisioned Matthew Hatton.

It’s embarrassing. Talking about Parker deserving a shot when his best win is probably Rohan Murdoch. I like Parker but FW’s deluded talking about bringing Canelo to Pride Park.

The WBO need to get a lot better with their mandatories - this is even worse than Yildirim with the WBC.

It would also help if the WBO only made their number 1 fighters mandatories if they win a proper final eliminator.

He seems to be just wanting to cash in at the moment. BT have had/are having loads of PPVs this year and he seems to focusing on putting shows on just beforehand to push them.

Parker’s a decent fighter but needs a fight with a meaningful contender. Canelo will give up the belt before fighting Parker. Parker could do with a proper fight before fighting for a vacant belt.

Instead he’s fighting someone who’s had one semi decent win in his entire career whilst being well beat 2 divisions below, never (in a meaningful fight at least) had competitive fight at super middle and was comfortably beat in his last fight against a Eubank Jr in second gear.

Warren mentions PPV every few minutes now. Probably in some subtle dig at Hearn. He seems to want to put any old shit on PPV.

Zach Parker will at best fight for a vacant belt when Canelo moves up. I'd question the WBO about how he was ranked number 1. Even for Warren-WBO this is a big leap.
