Yarde turns 30 in a month, I thought he was younger. Unreal how well his name has been pushed, a 20 fight, 30 year old prospect/contender who has zero good wins is one of frank warrens prized possessions.

should of already fought 3 cab drivers to boost confidence, and get a win streak going after he got beat by a 1 handed Arthur.. then he can get back to real fights (even if its just british and com levle).

I agree re: not being too fussed about this fight being cancelled but FW seems to think the Arthur rematch is a monster so him not fighting this weekend just delays the rematch being made as no doubt they’ll want Yarde out before the rematch happens.

Yeh Yarde seems to get a free pass when it comes to his career, im not saying Warren and Tunde are blameless but at the end of the day Yarde has had plenty opportunities to put his foot down especially with that bellend Tunde

Isn't that Archie Sharp's 3rd opponent now ?

I just can't get remotely excited or interested in Lyndon Arthur no matter who he's boxing.

Dennis McCann's fight will be an interesting measuring stick....if it holds together !

Just listened to a FW interview with Boxing Social.

He said they had replacement opponents but Yarde’s team didn’t accept and FW wouldn’t accept the opponents that they wanted.

He didn’t seem too happy about things to be honest.

Very odd, because Frank would only offer a can, so why would Yarde be scared of that... and if Yarde offered to fight different cans, why would frank say no to that.

Nope. If they’d grilled him then they would have been banned from his shows again.

FW’s not stupid. He knows his matchmaking in recent years has been questioned so he could hardly put him in with a journeyman.

FW also said they eventually agreed on someone but it was too late to get them into the country. Embarrassing.

Even the rankest journyman is better than nothing. bury that loss, get a highlight KO, fight again soon after. He fought a 4-48 guy coming of his last loss. Sure the trash guy with a pretty record is Ideal but its undercard fodder anyway, just get him active and in the wins.

I'd love to see the state of whoever was rejected by Frank. What did he have one arm? :OhYes:

I get your point but the 4-48 opponent was on a non televised random Spanish show just so Yarde could get a win and potentially fight for a vacant WBO belt.

He’s one of the main fighters on this weekend’s show and given the poor quality of several of FW’s shows this year, and the potential issues with the Fury fight not currently being on BT, I’m not surprised FW didn’t allow a complete no hoper.

I’m sure he’ll be on the same card as Johnson in late August/early September against someone like Atra again.

You'd have thought Yarde would be equipped to take on all comers , Lions in the camp is a one size fits all instruction that would've seen Yarde though no sweat

Ive not seen Warren's interview but i like the fact that he called Yarde and his team out or at least never sugarcoated it, Hearn gets a lot of flak for talking too much but im all for transparency, too often the promoter takes the brunt for fighters refusing fights, Warren needs to take a leaf out of Uncle Bob's book and give zero fvcks but do it in a way so his cards arent full blown bad 80s aids
