Feel like Zurdo can get somewhere with DAZN behind him. Top Rank has the light heavy market pretty cornered though so it’s table scraps for now. Somehow I’ve yet to watch Zurdo fight, so I’m looking forward to this.

Zurdo a 10:1 favorite; Jo Jo 2:1 against Fortuna

Friday’s DAZN card from Los Angeles has some pretty good match-ups on it. The fight that could steal the show is the WBC interim lightweight title collision between Jo Jo Diaz and Javier Fortuna. Diaz is a -200 favorite, but Fortuna has to be considered a very live underdog. Another can’t miss fight is the clash between unbeaten lightweights Hector Tanajara and William Zepeda. Sportsbooks have that one dead even. In the main event, light heavy Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez is a 10:1 favorite against Sullivan Barrera.

ODLH was on the Three Knockdown Rule already pushing and hyping Zurdo vs “a” Canelo at 175 lbs. Which I’m totally for at some point. Is there some weird rule where ODLH can’t propose hypothetical Canelo fights. He kept saying Zurdo should face “a Canelo” after a few more big wins.

Is there another Canelo?

I'm looking forward to this.
Mostly the undercard, given up on Zurdo doing something meaningful.

Can't believe I'm the only one voting for Barrera to KO. :yay:

Couple of good 135 fights on this. Best division in boxing at the moment if they can all fight each other.

This is a nice compeditive fight but Tanajara is losing the battle of the front foot position badly. He isnt even realy trying to get his foot on the outside, always going to be a tough night if he cant get that foot on the outside sometimes.

Zepeda landing good combos to the head and body. Dominant round. He’ll knock out Tanajara with a few more rounds like that.

Zepeda just turned the volume up to a crazzzy levle. If he can keep that volume for 10 tanajara wont last the 10 rounds. but is that volume possible for 10?

Zepeda is some devil as an inside fighter, stalking southpaw.

Zepeda is getting a place on my watch list. I dont know how good he is, but it looks like he will always be in fun fights. letting 8 punch combos go thudding the body excelent watch.

His footwork is a really good. Always stays at a distance where he can step in and land a combo. He cages in the orthodox front foot on his inside and cuts the ring off, then gets Tanajara stepping to his right near a corner or the ropes and that’s when he steps in and batters him.

Zepeda changes up hand speed on those punches to set up his combos upstairs. This guy is a great pro. Just laying a whooping on Tanajara since round 2.
