"Boxer Josh Taylor wants next fight in front of home crowd at Edinburgh Castle or Easter Road"

After his sensational boxing world title win (over Jose Ramirez) Josh Taylor says he now hopes his next fight will be at home in front of his Scottish fans.

The 30-year-old Hibs supporter says he would love his next bout to be staged at Edinburgh Castle or his beloved team’s Easter Road after his win over Jose Ramirez meant he became the first British undisputed world champion in the sport’s four-belt era.

The Tartan Tornado said: “I’d love to go back home and take a big fight back to Scotland. Especially now.

“Now is the time to get that fight at Edinburgh Castle or Easter Road.

I know Easter Road are going to be up for having me there and they’ve said it a few times so I’d love to have it at Easter Road.

“But I’d love to fight at Edinburgh Castle. I think that would just be iconic with the castle lit in the background.”
Celtic Park isn't the only 60,000 capacity stadium in Scotland. You were wrong.

Thanx
OK, so I was right about suggesting Easter Road.

And now you want to argue about something else.

OK, I'll entertain you, since you're passionate about being argumentative, name another Scottish stadium that holds precisely 60K (give or take a thousand)?
I wasn't even disputing Easter Road, you highlighted that part, not me.

I was arguing against your incorrect statement that Celtic Park is the only 60,000 capacity stadium in Scotland. I then educated you that you are wrong, Murrayfield in Edinburgh holds 67,000.
I've made that very clear. If you wish to now try and take it in a different direction then it's just you once again being a crybaby about getting proven wrong on something.
Thanx

So you're admitting that Celtic Park is the only 60,000 stadium in Scotland? Thanks. :TU:

67K is not the same as 60K, is it?

53K is not the same as 60K, is it?

Basic maths!

And the importance of the 60K figure, was because it came from a direct quote from Bob Arum, hence the reason for me suggesting Top Rank might be considering staging Taylor's bout at Celtic Park, because it's literally the only 60K stadium in Scotland.

"It would be primetime in the UK. We'd love to do it there in the spring with 60,000 people in Scotland."

You'd understand the context of my words, if you bothered to pay attention to the topic of this thread, rather than being argumentative and desperately looking for gotcha quotes!

FFS! How stupid can you really be? :yay:

At least you've admitted to me being correct about Easter Road, so at least we've found a tiny sliver of common ground.

One final point, if you're desperate to prove me wrong, then the next time you want to argue with me, it would be wise for you to quote my words.

When they're talking about crowd size of 60k, they're not going to talking about a stadium that's smaller than 60k. They would would meaning 60k capacity plus.

Are you really that desperate and stupid to try and bring a sized down 53k stadium into the argument? It would appear that you are that desperate and stupid.
A moment ago you were trying to work out how Hampden could be turned into 60k....yet don't seem to understand that a 67k stadium can actually hold 60k people? haha....hahahahaha....hahahahaha...

Nice try crybaby.

Sorry, i'm still laughing at you not having the basic understanding that a stadium that has a 67k capacity can actually hold 60k people!!

It's not your words that matter though you egomanical child, it's Bob's words and he said 60,000 people...he didn't say a 60,000 capacity stadium....he said 60,000 people. You quoted it yourself above. :yay:
Just in case you're still struggling to understand, 60,000 people can fit inside a 67,000 capacity stadium. :OhYes:

Since you won't quote my words, presenting them in their true context, I'll do it - because you're far too scared or dishonest:

Let’s talk about this fight some.

I think Taylor has a hard time handling Crawford if they meet at 147. Bud’s hand speed will spell trouble for him. I can see Crawford clocking him with a right cross as he switches between lefty and orthodox in the middle rounds.

What's the point in Crawford moving up to 147 if his biggest fight ends up being against the undisputed 140 champion?

It's a potentially cracking fight, but it does zip for Crawford's 147 ambition and legacy.

Yordenis Ugas is a PBC fighter, as is the vast majority of top-tier world-rated welterweights that Terence Crawford hasn’t fought.
