Round-by-Round: Lyndon Arthur vs. Davide Faraci - 10 July 2021
Re: Round-by-Round: Lyndon Arthur vs. Davide Faraci - 10 July 2021
Hardly a sharp shooting performance. Should really be boxing this guys head off. No excuse. He was throwing right hands that were originating from Guadalajara.

Andrade a good class International journeyman
and a good learning win for The Sharpshooter.
Let's all make a pact to talk Sharp up, so we can clean up when he fights someone good. Another poor performance.
He's not a bad fighter by any means, but talk of Herring - who's hardly a dominant champ - is just ridiculous.

Not the most exciting performance from Lyndon.positives.? Superb finish, beat an unbeaten fighter by ko , some great feints,no ones mentioned how well the right hand held up when throwing it hard.
Negatives. Looked like he was blowing a touch mid rounds, slow to get going ,
Promoter appears to favour yarde, thinks no mileage in Lyndon. The rematch will happen coz it’s “ contracted” and promoter is keen on it as he obviously favours yarde. More tv friendly.
Hope Arthur gives him another boxing lesson, and forces world title fight.

Terrible card indeed.
I watched all 6 fights. 4 complete mismatches and the other 2 were supposed world level fighters struggling with very limited opponents.
The Sharp fight was fun; one-sided and how Foster didn’t take a point off needs investigating.
Arthur looked good when he sat on his punches but Faraci didn’t really offer much but pride. Good knockout but he looked lazy, gassed and just miserable.
It’s time BT step up their shows now. I genuinely only watched as there was no football on, and boxing is my #1 sport.
I can’t imagine too many people got enjoyment watching 6 fights that were ultimately shit.

I was out last night but just watched the show..,
McCann’s a good fighter but I’d worry a little about his power when he steps up. Hopefully that will come. Really poor opponent though who was at least one weight division below McCann.
Ituma looks a tidy fighter. Really accurate back left hand and given it was his third fight I’d give the opponent a pass.
Zach Parker - it’s good that he’s more active now but a waste of time opponent so looked really soft despite making weight. Typical FW - talk of big fights yet matches him with a 40 year old who wasn’t in good shape. Even a jab to the body was hurting him.
Noakes looks a good fighter but I’d rather he fought someone who was trying to win rather than it being ‘will he stop him’.
Given how short these fights have been it’s a good job they’ve got Sunny Edwards in the studio - he sure can talk and after finding him a bit annoying previously I’m beginning to quite like him.
Arthur/Faraci - nice to have an opponent trying to win. I thought Arthur made hard work of it but credit to Faraci for being game. Arthur’s got some good skills but his work rate isn’t great, he’s fairly easy to hit and I think Callum Johnson/Buatsi beat him. If Yarde has proper guidance from his corner then I think he beats Arthur too.
Sharp/Andrade- another Mexican who came over trying to win. I don’t get the hype with Sharp. Again, it’s crazy that he’s talking about Shakur Stevenson and co yet is fighting and struggling a bit with Andrade.
A really poor show overall.

Enjoyed the performances from McCann, Parker, Noakes and Sharp. Even Arthur's was an improvement on his usual coma inducing displays.
Parker was punch perfect and executed the finishing body punch with power and precision
McCann looked good overwhelming his opponent.
Noakes showed tremendous aggression against an opponent who came to play his part. Noakes was on top for sure, but disappointed with Connolly's corner for pulling him out at that stage.
Excellent learning & seasoning fight for Sharp. The Mexican was a proper tough hombre and one who didn't come looking for the canvas.
More a night for showcasing talent than classic fights.

Good finish for Arthur but a pedestrian performance, Faraci was game, unorthodox and let his hands go, his punch delivery was amateurish though,. punching downwards etc, Arthur looked a bit slow and lazy, jab was ok and he hurt Faraci to the body in the 4th but stopped targeting it, he did land some nice right pull counters and it was a cracker he caught Faraci with in the 9th for the first knockdown, the second KD was even better, left uppercut/right hand sent Faraci down heavily, 2 solid rights stiffened his legs for finish, good ending from Arthur but not a great showing overall

'showcase card'
basically a nice way to describe a card filled with lopsided matchmaking.....when you see someone use that, chances are theyre trying to put a tuxedo on a turd

Talent can be showcased in competitive matches too
