Undercard fights are all still listed? Does that mean it’s still on? Hope so, I was just as keen for the undercard as the main event.

Pretty sure I read confirmation somewhere that the entire card was wiped, and they're looking to relocate the whole thing to October.gregregegg wrote: ↑11 Jul 2021, 10:07 Undercard fights are all still listed? That was a very decent undercard compared to the usual ppv.

I'm calling BS on Furys camp with the Covid BS. Joe Parker was at the UFC event after testing "positive" while at Furys camp. Fury was at the facility a few days before he tested +. Ticket sales were horrible. Either they are lying or are all incredibly stupid.

What we've seen recently isn't a good look for the fighters aligned with Top Rank.
I'd be intrigued to know the reason why there are discrepancies between the alleged infected fighters and their conduct in public.

I have not seen any real claim to Parker catching Covid. All the reports seem to quote that he has it, but no actual source. Seems to just be rumors circulating.

Hearn: Fury-Wilder Sold No Tickets, It Would Have Did Very Poorly on PPV
Eddie Hearn, promoter for unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is still not 100% sold on the official reason behind the recent postponement of the Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder trilogy fight.
The contest was scheduled for July 24th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Last week, the fight was officially postponed after it was revealed that Fury had contracted COVID-19.
Both Wilder and Fury have been out of action since February 2020 - when Fury stopped Wilder in seven rounds to capture the WBC heavyweight title at Las Vegas' MGM Grand.
The two sides are now looking to reschedule the third encounter in the month of October.
Hearn is raising his eyebrows at several details - which make him get the sense that Fury-Wilder was never going to come off on July 24.
He says no UK pay-per-view broadcast partner was ever announced for the third encounter. And, he explains that a very small percentage of tickets were sold for the bout - which leads him to believe that Fury-Wilder would have generated a lower than expected pay-per-review buyrate number.
"There was no broadcaster in the UK announced. You know [Fury] has a contract with BT [Sport]? They never announced the fight. They sold no tickets," Hearn told the DAZN Boxing Show.
"Basically, you could go online and check. I don’t know whether it was 25% or 30% of the tickets have been sold, but that’s disastrous. There was no hype. This was going to do very, very poor pay-per-view numbers.”

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - October 2021
Thing with this fight.
Had Wilder acted on the rematch clause after the fight and the fight possibly taking place during the pandemic, it might just have been ok.. But instead, we got excuse after excuse..
Then we had the potential AJ-Fury fight, everyone was on that, excited for once, and didn't care to see Fury-Wilder for a third time..
But the way it all played out, the loooooong delay, rematch clause not being acted on within a month or so, the dominating fashion Fury beat Wilder as well, the whole arbitration etc..
No one gives a crap anymore.. Everyone was finally ready to see Fury-AJ.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - October 9, 2021
Press Release
The heavyweight trilogy showdown between WBC and lineal world champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury and former world champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder — scheduled for Saturday, July 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas – has been postponed due to Fury’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
The two goliaths will now meet Saturday, Oct. 9 at T-Mobile Arena, and live on ESPN+ PPV and FOX Sports PPV, resuming one of the great rivalries in the division’s storied history.
Tickets purchased for July 24 will be honoured for the rescheduled date.
Fury vs. Wilder III tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.tmobilearena.com or www.axs.com. The event is promoted by Top Rank, BombZquad Promotions, TGB Promotions and Frank W’s Queensberry Promotions. A Premier Boxing Champions presentation.
“I wanted nothing more than to smash the ‘Big Dosser’ on July 24, but I guess the beating will have to wait,” Fury said. “Make no mistake, I will be back and better than ever. We will fight Oct. 9, and I will knock him spark out!”
Hall-Of-Fame Promoter Frank W added: "I'm glad that we could all agree a new date quickly for Tyson to defend his title.
"Tyson is a fighting man and I know how frustrated he is that he can't compete this month. It's such a shame to lose a fight of this magnitude to COVID.
"That said, the extra time he gets to prepare is just going to ensure he's bigger and better than ever before - I've never been more certain that Tyson is going to deliver a spectacular performance and remain the number one Heavyweight on the planet!

A bit harsh? I know I don't post that much in the boxing part of the forum, but Ruthless is a wonderful contributer and seems to be a nice chap as well.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - October 9, 2021
The entire Fury vs. Wilder III PPV undercard moving to Oct.9
Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III is back on for the new rescheduled date of October 9th, and the entire-three fight undercard will be moved with them at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tickets purchased for the previous July 24th date are good for the new October 9th date.
The undercard for Fury vs. Wilder 3:
• Efe Ajaba vs. Frank Sanchez
• Robert Helenius – Adam Kownacki 2
• Jared Anderson – Vladimir Tereshkin
Those are some good fights, but it would be nice to move them around. Instead of Frank Sanchez fighting the flawed heavyweight Ajagba, he should fight Jared Anderson. Sanchez vs. Anderson would be an excellent fight.
Ajagba vs. Tereskin makes sense as well because both guys have defensive lapses and are both beatable.

I'd choose to watch this stuff asap. Marinating is especially frustrating today, when any bout can easily be cancelled. Actually, if the card happened in July, the winners would be able to return in October, especially Anderson, who is the most likely to have an easy fight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑16 Jul 2021, 05:15 Those are some good fights, but it would be nice to move them around. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - October 2021
The link I posted says he did. 10 people out of Fury's camp "allegedly" tested positive, so a lot of people are questioning if it is BS or not. Arum began by lying saying Fury was fully vaccinated, and cancelled another fight for "covid" Why not post proof of the positive tests? Poor ticket sales and Fury not being ready are what I think is the reason. BT sports didn't even announce the fight and they have a contract with Fury according to Hearn. Not many on this forum will question it, or care, because they wanted to see Fury fight Joshua instead anyway.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - October 9, 2021
Tyson Fury has been spotted all over town after his positive test. So it was either poor ticket sales or he is an idiot. We can't discount the possibility that he did contract the virus, for this reason. I kind of hope Joshua comes out on top for being the more serious guy. But yeah Joshua vs Usyk will happen before this fight.
Usyk looks serious about the challenge.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - October 9, 2021
Yep. Joshua won't be taking Usyk lightly that's for sure. He'd be a fool if he did.
