No spectators at the (Tokyo) Olympics

Post by Finkel »

Tokyo just announced that there will be no spectators at the Olympics. If like myself you had tickets to the boxing, you are unfortunately out of luck.

Sorry, Fink. There’s always 2024.
Let’s get a thread going? I’m looking forward to seeing it on the NBC coverage. It looks like they’re going to actually make it available.

Update, just received the official email. There will still be spectators for some sports (those events taking place outside of the big cities). I'm thinking some rugby games, hockey and such.

-For the venues located in Miyagi, Fukushima, Ibaragi and Shizuoka, spectators up to 50% of venue capacity and not more than 10,000 people will be allowed.

-All the sessions held in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba,  Saitama and Hokkaido will be held without spectator.
