Guys like Charlo, Andrade and Eubank Jr want the scalp of a 40 y/o GGG but let's not forget that when GGG was younger and still a champ, he was avoided like the plague. The only decent MW's that had balls to fight a young G were Murray and Lemieux-IBF mw champion. The rest of them were 'hiding and acting like who is G'? lol

Now G is in a good position to make smart decisions for him, meanwhile these young-ish MW's are all talk and less willing to take some risks!

Gennadiy Golovkin vs Ryota Murata, Dec. 28 in Tokyo would be a big boxing-event! :OhYes: :box:

apollo, you’ve created too many threads about the same topic.

As much as I enjoy our arguments, it’s getting old. Discussing the same topics all the time is like Groundhog Day!

Be honest, do we really need a dozen threads like this?

Anyway, let’s discuss GGG’s next bout when it’s announced, because he hasn’t even got a fight lined-up yet.

Let's be honest when G is in a big fight-event even his detractors watch it! GGG vs Murata would be massive in Japan! I hope that Munguia would get a belt soon and unify with GGG in a big match. :box:

Be honest eo, do you feel like GGG doesn't deserve to be in this top position after all the hard road he had? YES or NO?

I'm not sure what you're referring to when you state "top position". It's a vague phrase that can mean different things to different people.

So can you please elaborate?

Of course he does. I also believe he's a dead-cert first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. He's earned my respect and I also feel he deserves to earn decent paydays.

However, let's not forget that GGG explained during his DAZN introduction press-conference that he wanted to compete in the "most important" and "most interesting" fights in boxing. He also said he no longer cared about the belts, partially because of "politics" and partly due to his belief that "sometimes the people with the belts aren't the best boxers."

I’ve quoted his words verbatim.

I'm not sure how you've interpreted GGG's comments, but Gennadiy's fights on DAZN against Derevyanchenko, Szeremeta and Rolls certainly don't reflect those objectives.

And fights against Ryota Murata and Jaime Munguia won't achieve those goals either, because they're not the "best boxers" and they won't be deemed as being the "most important" and "most interesting fights in boxing."

According to the general consensus, Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade are the "best boxers" capable of providing GGG with the "most important" and "most interesting fights in boxing" (at middleweight).

So it shouldn’t surprise you or anyone else for that matter, to see fighters like Charlo and Andrade calling out GGG, because Gennadiy himself said he only wants to face “the best”... and they really are “the best”, but Golovkin is clearly choosing to do otherwise.

All I’m doing is holding GGG accountable to his own words.

Cue the Datsue quote from May 2018!

Let's be real here, the version of Jacobs that GGG&Canelo fought was a better challenge&fighter than Andrade or Charlo!
Even the version of Lemieux that G fought would've gave hard fights to Charlo and Andrade.

Kami and Rolls were more of stay busy fights as Vanes too b/c after Rolls, G fought Chenko- who was a top mw at that time and after Vanes, G fought Canelo. But yeah after G fought Kami, he didn't do nothing, maybe he'd fight Falcao.

Murata in Japan and Munguia(assuming he'd get a belt) would be more lucrative and winnable fights for a 40 y/o G than Charlo and Andrade. Yeah Charlo and Andrade may be better fighters than Murata and Munguia but they also don't want to risk too much by fighting each other.
