Warren admits he was less impressed with the performance of Lyndon Arthur – the WBO’s No 1 light-heavyweight- who stopped Davide Faraci in the ninth round on the card, to move him towards a rematch with Anthony Yarde, who had been due to be on the same bill until his opponent, Emin Atra, was injured.
“He got rid of him in the end,” Warren said. “He did what he had to do but he made it hard for himself. The Italian showed plenty of heart, he didn’t come to fall over, Lyndon just boxed at his pace, he grinded it out but he landed some good shots in the end.
“I was expecting something a little bit more. Lyndon’s next fight will be Yarde. We are hoping that Yarde will be out before it, we are working on it, but that will be Lyndon’s next fight. We had hoped to get [the Arthur-Yarde] done in September, but we are looking at October now.”

Even though i want Arthur to win I slightly favor yarde to be honest. Which seems a mental stance seeing as lyndon beat him one handed last time.
Yard has a confidence issue, which is weird because he also has an ego on him... If i were his team i would of got him a bunch of fighters with blown up records (15-0 but shit) and got him to blast them out. 3 or 4 of them back to back to back. then Arthur when his confidence is buzzing and is back in the wins.
Still seems haunted by gassing against Kov, rather than taking the confidence from him as a novice nearly blasting a world champ out in the 8th.
i voted arthur i meant yarde , i dont rate arthur to clumsy for me he has tools built for boxing just something , if yarde has anything left he wins this ko before 6th , to be fair to yarde lost his da to corna hopfully he is focussed for the fight

May not be happening, the Liverpool show on Dazn will clash and most will watch it but BT will want something from Warren if Fury Wilder 3 goes forward

Yeh, Frank was backing Yarde and Dubois.
Dubois lost and got a ‘world’ title shot, not even that, was injured and still fought before Joyce.
Same thing happened here, they’ll keep doing it til Yarde wins.
I don’t know much about Arthur. He comes across as a really laid back cat. The opposite of Yarde in many ways. It makes me think Arthur could be underrated, especially against the likes of Yarde. In other words, a repeat of the first fight could be on the cards.

I'm not sure how this approach would help Yarde, or anybody in his situation. Beating a bunch of padded no-hopers wouldn't give him confidence, he'd know they are poor and probably only think his team and promoter has no faith in him.
I think this would be more damaging in the longer term. I don't get the point.
