Oh Fistie, you paint such a wonderful picture of an idyllic world that I would absolutely love to be a part of.
Let's discuss it further once you have finished washing Adrian :TU:
Eh?
Come on, we know it was you who took the shower picture of Adrian Broner :shame:
 Sorry old boy you've lost me there but I suspect it must be a pic of Broner making a berk of himself again as he did when flushing money down the toilet, I bet the blighter needs that money now.

Hearn: Fury-Wilder Sold No Tickets, It Would Have Did Very Poorly on PPV

Eddie Hearn, promoter for unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is still not 100% sold on the official reason behind the recent postponement of the Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder trilogy fight.

The contest was scheduled for July 24th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Last week, the fight was officially postponed after it was revealed that Fury had contracted COVID-19.

Both Wilder and Fury have been out of action since February 2020 - when Fury stopped Wilder in seven rounds to capture the WBC heavyweight title at Las Vegas' MGM Grand.

The two sides are now looking to reschedule the third encounter in the month of October.

Hearn is raising his eyebrows at several details - which make him get the sense that Fury-Wilder was never going to come off on July 24.

He says no UK pay-per-view broadcast partner was ever announced for the third encounter. And, he explains that a very small percentage of tickets were sold for the bout - which leads him to believe that Fury-Wilder would have generated a lower than expected pay-per-review buyrate number.

"There was no broadcaster in the UK announced. You know [Fury] has a contract with BT [Sport]? They never announced the fight. They sold no tickets," Hearn told the DAZN Boxing Show.

"Basically, you could go online and check. I don’t know whether it was 25% or 30% of the tickets have been sold, but that’s disastrous. There was no hype. This was going to do very, very poor pay-per-view numbers.”

Thing with this fight.

Had Wilder acted on the rematch clause after the fight and the fight possibly taking place during the pandemic, it might just have been ok.. But instead, we got excuse after excuse..

Then we had the potential AJ-Fury fight, everyone was on that, excited for once, and didn't care to see Fury-Wilder for a third time..

But the way it all played out, the loooooong delay, rematch clause not being acted on within a month or so, the dominating fashion Fury beat Wilder as well, the whole arbitration etc..

No one gives a crap anymore.. Everyone was finally ready to see Fury-AJ.

Why's this being moved to October? Does Fury have Covid? If not, he only needs to isolate for 8 days

Press Release

The heavyweight trilogy showdown between WBC and lineal world champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury and former world champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder — scheduled for Saturday, July 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas – has been postponed due to Fury’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

The two goliaths will now meet Saturday, Oct. 9 at T-Mobile Arena, and live on ESPN+ PPV and FOX Sports PPV, resuming one of the great rivalries in the division’s storied history.

Tickets purchased for July 24 will be honoured for the rescheduled date.

Fury vs. Wilder III tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.tmobilearena.com or www.axs.com. The event is promoted by Top Rank, BombZquad Promotions, TGB Promotions and Frank W’s Queensberry Promotions. A Premier Boxing Champions presentation.

“I wanted nothing more than to smash the ‘Big Dosser’ on July 24, but I guess the beating will have to wait,” Fury said. “Make no mistake, I will be back and better than ever. We will fight Oct. 9, and I will knock him spark out!”

Hall-Of-Fame Promoter Frank W added: "I'm glad that we could all agree a new date quickly for Tyson to defend his title.

"Tyson is a fighting man and I know how frustrated he is that he can't compete this month. It's such a shame to lose a fight of this magnitude to COVID.

"That said, the extra time he gets to prepare is just going to ensure he's bigger and better than ever before - I've never been more certain that Tyson is going to deliver a spectacular performance and remain the number one Heavyweight on the planet!

Yeah it’s clearly bollocks. Given themselves 3 months to drum up some interest and try to sell a few tickets. Maybe they’ll actually manage to get a UK tv deal for the fight too!

Wilder thinks he doesn’t need to promote the fight. Even for the 2nd bout. He did fuk all.

It was Fury doing all the promotion, especially in the US.

Became an even more likeable person to US fans.

The entire Fury vs. Wilder III PPV undercard moving to Oct.9

Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III is back on for the new rescheduled date of October 9th, and the entire-three fight undercard will be moved with them at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tickets purchased for the previous July 24th date are good for the new October 9th date.

The undercard for Fury vs. Wilder 3:

• Efe Ajaba vs. Frank Sanchez
• Robert Helenius – Adam Kownacki 2
• Jared Anderson – Vladimir Tereshkin

Those are some good fights, but it would be nice to move them around. Instead of Frank Sanchez fighting the flawed heavyweight Ajagba, he should fight Jared Anderson. Sanchez vs. Anderson would be an excellent fight.

Ajagba vs. Tereskin makes sense as well because both guys have defensive lapses and are both beatable.

Spiltka?

He literally pissed himself.
Pretty much, a man with a worse chin than David Price, the worst chin in heavyweight boxing for the last decade, natural cruiserweight, down about 39 times in his career not kidding, yeah, sounds about right for a guy people claim might be the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time, and it took him TEN rounds! Even with Wilders incredibly careful matchmaking he struggles to get it done, you shouldn't be going life and death with Szpilka and Molina when stiff breezes knock thee guys over, Molina quit in the first round against Arreola, AJ had him in the fetal position, Wilder went life and death and almost got his head taken off in the process

I even hear excuses like 'well Szpilka was just never the same after Wilder KO'd him' in regards to Chisora almost killing him with the first punches he threw. This man was chinned badly by Mike Mollo TWICE with cuffing shots, floored a dozen times by non punchers, the Wilder team were locking their lips when they chose this guy as an opponent, and Wilder STILL had to come from behind to KO him

I watched both of Spiltka's fights with Mike Mollo before he was even mentioned as a Wilder opponent, where he went over in each one and it was pretty clear the guy didn't have the sturdiest chin, so was surprised to see him win rounds off Wilder.

I just answered your question, that's all.

Boxing social did an interview with John Fury yesterday. It was quite interesting. He hasn’t had much contact with Tyson but was very critical about his management/promotional team. He said Tyson’s never been looked after his entire career.

Compared to someone like AJ, I think he’s right.

That’s a fair point, but I imagine that a lot of that is due to decision he himself has made, as he tends to flit around a bit. The involvement of family is also something that often impacts on business decisions

I've never much cared for John but I did watch that interview and what he says about the whole Tyson-Deontay-AJ clusterfuck is surprisingly honest: hates Wilder passionately, says the only fight he wants to see is AJ, doesn't really speak to Tyson much anymore and says that Tyson lives a bizarre abnormal life and that he just hopes he's alright.

It's all too reminiscent of Wlad-Fury 2: No tickets sold, Fury looks physically awful at the press conference, he's supposed to be injured/have COVID but is seen out and about having fun...

The only intrigue was that Wilder is a pudendum and people want to see him get beaten half to death. I hope he never gets his 3rd fight.

Hennessy did a good job for him building him up but similar to with Carl Froch, Hennessy can only seem to take fighters so far. He can take them to a World title but to superstardom? Seemingly not.

Fury is very proud. Too proud to sign with Hearn. People said AJ would up and leave Matchroom and it's never happened and I think that speaks volumes. The weight they take off of him is obviously worth the huge money he pays them.

Hennessy can’t get guys mainstream. To think that Froch was fighting on BBC/ITV early in his career and still couldn’t shift many tickets for Dirrell is criminal and then it was a joke what happened with the first Kessler fight.

I think Eddie works off a % with AJ and it’s clearly been working well. Also speaks volumes that Canelo’s working closely with him too now.

The first WBC defence against Taylor was where it all started for me. Froch had just been in an absolute blood and guts war on ITV live Saturday night. And we can't get his first defence on TV other than a repeat 24 hours later. He should have been fighting tv companies off with a shitty stick.
