Charlo was such a poser at the weigh-in (as usual). Castano should flatten him.

Unreal how no one including myself cares about this fight even though it is an undisputed 154lb fight that anyone can win…
This could/should be a monster fight but even on the weakest week of competition iv ever seen no one cares.

Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
The division lacked big names. The likes of Williams and Rosario were one day champions. Actually, that's why it was so easy to unify. Popular fighters are more pretentious in terms of negotiations, that's why we rarely see undisputed championship bouts today. Everyone wants to cash out. However, Charlo-Castano is a really good matchup. Avid boxing fans gotta be interested.gregregegg wrote: ↑17 Jul 2021, 07:10 Unreal how no one including myself cares about this fight even though it is an undisputed 154lb fight that anyone can win…

Yea I’ll watch just no vibe around it, wish Tim tszyu got that shot at castano when Rex was stuck in Brazil. Tszyu vs charlo is a gunner fight I think.DrDuke wrote: ↑17 Jul 2021, 07:18The division lacked big names. The likes of Williams and Rosario were one day champions. Tszyu againt both Charlo and Castano sounds great. And it'll sell because of Tszyu's surname. Actually, that's why it'll be better for Castano to win. Charlo is a too pretentious motherf*cker, his negotiations with Tszyu will probably be hard-going.gregregegg wrote: ↑17 Jul 2021, 07:23Yea I’ll watch just no vibe around it, wish Tim tszyu got that shot at castano when Rex was stuck in Brazil. I hope Errol Spence is at this fight.
I recall he was at Pacquiao vs Thurman and he grinned big once when Pacquiao landed.

Vidal vs Aleem first...

Charlo making his ring walk! Let’s get it on!
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Round 1 - Castaño
10-9 Castaño
Excellent pressure. Landed a couple left hooks. Nice jabs to the body.

Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Castano just needed one more of them to put him down.
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Round 3 - a lot of whiffs and then Castaño rocks Charlo at the end of the round with a left hook against the ropes. 29-28 Castaño.
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Round 4 - very close round and tough to score. Charlo is beginning to split the guard with his 1-2s. 38-38.
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
3-2 either way.
High quality Unification match.
I give Charlo the edge on counterpunching and defence, not sure the judges will..

Jermell dosent like being on the ropes. not entirely sure how good castano is at pushing fowards but he needs to do it. Wouldent leave it to the cards in mellos back yard..
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Round 5 - Charlo’s defense is proving effective. Castaño didn’t get him on the ropes as much that round. A very close fight. 48-47 Charlo.

Charlo needs to stay off the ropes. Maybe I'll be proven wrong but it looks to me like Castano can win.
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Round 6 - Castaño had a great rally at the end of the round. Landed some really nice and effective shots. Another tough one to score. 57-57.
Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Round 7 - Charlo looking really tired at the end of that round. Castaño’s had him on the ropes a lot. The pressure is building up.
Castaño leads it on my card 67-66.
