Was Fury's covid made up?
Was Fury's covid made up?
A week ago Fury was seen at a vegas casino, out and about car shopping, of course maskless when he's supposed to be in quarantine. Joe Parker, who also tested positive, was seen at the UFC fight shortly after.
Why no outrage or even questions on this forum? If it were Wilder pulling this BS people here would be outraged. Either the whole camp is lying about positive tests or Fury and Parker are dumb AF.

ya poor wilder is the victim in all this
but seriously, it wouldnt surprise me at all if it's made up
have you seen that video of arum talking about teo lopez getting covid? basically, it was before arum had resigned lopez and was still working on it. and he said in the video, basically 'and if we do resign him, dont be surprised iif he gets covid'
sure enough, they got him resigned, and then he withdrew from the kambosis fight due to a supposed positive test

Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
what legal ramifications would a 'made up' positive covid test have?
they might be stoopid to a degree, yeah, sure.
they are not 100 percent deranged like lunatic beyonce wilder though the dead cert crazy alabama shit biscuit who switched gears from a slightly odd seemingly off demeanor into off the rails 'full on retarded' paranoia mode since fury knocked his blocks off.
they still are able to keep it together, wilder just can't help himself anymore if his life depended on it.
he's a malignant megalomanic mental wreck still convinced the whole world conspired to bring him down, the invincible baddest man on the planet, the hardest puncher in boxing history.

Not sure how much of an impact it would have in the bigger overall picture. But I know a lot of tickets were sold to U.K. fight fans as there was an expectation / it was widely reported that travel bans would be lifted about a month before the fight.
This never happened so U.K. ticket holders could get a refund due to COVID stopping travel.
The fight has been re-scheduled (not cancelled) so nobody has had a refund and their ticket is valid for the new date. Guess in the hope travel bans will be eased by then.
Not saying his positive result was made up - but I know first hand the ticket information is true , whether refunding 60-70% of the tickets sold would influence a move like that I don’t know

Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
Perhaps Team Wilder and Team Fury realised the ticket sales in the US were so bad, because it’s a rematch that none of the Americans asked for, that they fabricated an excuse (with Tyson agreeing to play the role of the scapegoat) to delay the event until later on in the year.
So the rematch could get relocated to a much more lucrative venue, such as a stadium fight in Manchester or London, because let’s face it, the Brits would pay to see this fight?
The UK’s rules surrounding COVID-19 have now been completely relaxed, making it an ideal venue for sporting events capable of attracting a massive live gate.

That scuppers that theory then, unless ticket sales remain low (despite the postponement).Onetimeonly wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:48The fight is still in Vegas.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:43 Perhaps Team Wilder and Team Fury realised the ticket sales in the US were so bad, because it’s a rematch that none of the Americans asked for, that they fabricated an excuse (with Tyson agreeing to play the role of the scapegoat) to delay the event until later on in the year.

Also whilst they’d be able to get more people at the show in the U.K., the ticket prices are a lot less.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:49That scuppers that theory then, unless ticket sales remain low (despite the postponement).Onetimeonly wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:48The fight is still in Vegas.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:43 Perhaps Team Wilder and Team Fury realised the ticket sales in the US were so bad, because it’s a rematch that none of the Americans asked for, that they fabricated an excuse (with Tyson agreeing to play the role of the scapegoat) to delay the event until later on in the year.

The 80,000 fans AJ/Povetkin had at Wembley probably paid similar for tickets as the 17,000 at Wilder/Fury 2.

If the event is held UK time, it’ll generate PPV buys in the UK.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 04:08Also whilst they’d be able to get more people at the show in the U.K., the ticket prices are a lot less.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:49That scuppers that theory then, unless ticket sales remain low (despite the postponement).![]()

It’ll generate Anthony Joshua type money, roughly $60m.

Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
Dillian Whyte ripped into him over the contradictions. I'm glad somebody did. These guys Fury and Parker are (relatively) young and so they don't want to follow quarantine guidelines, while in another country no less. These two guys are jackasses.
Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
I'm not saying it's a total fabrication but I'm willing to bet there's some tactical thinking going on.

How do you get $60m from the fight being in the U.K.?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 04:10If the event is held UK time, it’ll generate PPV buys in the UK.maverick23 wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 04:08Also whilst they’d be able to get more people at the show in the U.K., the ticket prices are a lot less.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑24 Jul 2021, 03:49

Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
The idea that it was fabricated is a conspiracy theory. We should accept what they said which is that they tested positive and then broke quarantine.
Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
I don't know what to think but I do know that if I were in a pub at closing time and Fury said it was dark outside, I'd have to look for myself.

You can trust Tyson Fury just as much as you can trust your own government.
Or any politicians in this dog eat dog world in 2021.
Fury, like his political contemporary counterparts is solely interested in amassing a large a personal fortune as he can. Some call it theft, some call it opportunism.
In this regard he/they have done extremely well for themselves.
Sure beats collecting scrap iron or doing day jobs.

Re: Was Fury's covid made up?
I just know when a boxer does something dumb, some of his fans sometimes say it was actually a genius move.
The worst thing I've seen though is Parker showing up at the UFC fight. People need to try to avoid creating a superspreader event at least.
I want to show you guys something I have filed in my mind under 'covid'.
