I miss Teddy Atlas going on a rant about judging or weak opponent selection. I don't miss anything else about him, but I feel your team is missing that particular "don't give a toss" about promoters, judges, sanctioning bodies, referees, managers, and broadcasters tyoe rants.
Good point. Atlas is dreadful, truly cringe as well. He can be used as a colour commentator lol
 it's been a few years, and we forget how cringy he was/is.
The odd time he had the balls to go off at the judges- in person, in their face, on air, was legendary. The rest made my skin crawl. If I had a basement, I would concrete it in, rather than risk "water in the basement"
The worst was his corner work… to Moorer: “Your daughters on the phone asking why daddy doesn’t want to be heavyweight champion!”
“We be firefighters!”

Atlas is a fraud. Rich man’s son pretending to be a tough guy. Fake scar story he did it himself
Fake ‘I was an amateur prospect’ but had to retire cos of injury at 19 (not sure he even had an amateur fight)
Fake ‘I went to shoot Donny Lalonde but he wasn’t in” story.

I upgrade my nightmare team as follows:

Lead commentator: Adam Smith
Secondary Commentator: Boxercise Ben Davison
Interviewer: Stunning Steve Bunce.

Trust me.
Spencer Fearon 'analysis' to finish and you've got an unbeatably shocking line up.

sounds like he wants Sheeraz on his books. It's all I could make him really great like I didn't with Tyson.

I think Ben’s a decent analyst. He repeats himself a lot but I prefer a bit of technical analysis rather than the shite you get on Sky.

They’ll be saying he’s got more power than Hearns now and has a better finishing instinct.

I dont think I've ever been as irritated at a commentator than Davison, just critiques everything and tries far too hard, get him in the bin

I know mate, that's why I suggested him for your nightmare broadcast team. He may have mellowed like the dog sh*t that left on the lawn long enough goes white. It may not smell any more, but you run it over with the lawnmower and suck down the enormous white dust cloud...

I don’t know pal - I thought the Jenkins fight was fairly close up the stoppage. Wasn’t a particularly good fight mind
i had that close too though echo always looked like he had the power to push on, but till then jenkins was landing his jab well , and you go on whats happening not what could

Can we “get a hard on” for Hamza Sheeraz yet ?
Was that English level ?

I imagine he’ll go further than Sam Noakes…

Sheeraz can fight from light middle to heavy if he really wanted to in the next 15 years.
I get the feeling he will be around at least domestically for the next decade at least!

I’d say area level. His opponent was stopped in 2 for the Spanish title (the guy who beat was stopped in his following fight too) and won a split against a guy I’ve never heard of a couple of fights back who had a losing record.

I think Sheeraz is a good fighter though. Needs a proper step up though next. Fowler would be a great fight.
