In all fairness to Steve Gray regarding Ritson, they were bodyshots he was getting decked with, too many head shots is a fair bit different

Lol Fisheyes banging on about JJ being a mandatory for AJ.

Doesn't seem to bothered about his man Fury fighting a mandatory anytime this century. :brick:

takam was playing heavy bag with his face the first 5 rounds
It was obvious from R3.

He's a likeable guy Joyce. Will need to shore up that defense a bit against some of the big hitters, but he'll be a problem for anyone!

Ya, consistency is shocking.
And I think that's the problem for me, these British referees are becoming extremely inconsistent.

He’s not commentating.. he’s basically shouting instructions as if he’s training the fighter in the ring.

AJ stops Joyce in 1.
Only way he’d take that fight is the 750 grand he’d get for it.

i was pretty sure before the fight even started that joyce would get to him eventually, that doesnt mean i should score him rounds where he is offering his head as a punch bag

Was that just a bad night at the office ?

Or is DDD way overrated and JJJ actually sh1t ?

Could be just complacency and he’ll be a lot better next time..?

Tbh. Stoppage early or whatever.. but it was starting to get one sided..

JJ would have taken over, won more rounds and been ahead on the cards eventually.. or by then, if you’re not throwing back or taking a knee, might as well stop the fight.

it was one-sided in the 6th round, not before that, im sure joe wouldve got him eventually either way and i dont have a huge problem with the stoppage, but joe was in control for about 1 minute of the fight

Personally I just watch the boxing, I'm not massively bothered about some person trying to do some commentary. Don't watch it if it angers you so much.

Same as Growling Smith, ignore him.

Joyce took a whole lot less punishment than Chisora did and got to him sooner.

Love watching JJ fight.

Outside of Fury and Joshua and poss Usyk, he will give anyone else a damn good fight.

i think if it was a title fight maybe a reff would of let it play out a bit more, but it werent though takam was in the fight on the cards jj turned it there and he wasnt coming back from that, jj looked average tonight only plus i would say is he can take a shot, he slow punches werent fluent he wont walk through other fighters

And it would have continued to be one sided after that round.

JJ won rd5 didn’t he?

Lol precisely. He drives me mad. And that’s the big learning from today’s card….. we now know what the nightmare P4P boxing commentary teams as follows:

Lead Commentator: Adam ‘The Respect’ Smith
Assistant Commenator and technical analyst: Boxercise Bellend Ben Davison
Colour commentator: Teddy ‘the Fable’’ Atlas
Post fight interviewer: Steve ‘5 Biros’ Bunce
After Fight Sumariser: Spencer ‘the Master Fvckwit’ Fearon.

Everyone likes to shit on joe. they think because his punches arnt snappy they dont do anything but by all acounts they hurt when they thud in.

Add in the fact the joyce is probably the strongest in the division, one of the best chins, one of the best cardio, and a great height and reach... nightmare for anyone (except usyk and fury).

always going to struggle early when his slowness is most exposed, trash defence too, but if he can weather through it and just keep podding fowards noone is having an easy night.
