I think he managed stop Magee and Tatevosyan with right uppercuts, but those were markedly less silly punches than his usual Hollywood uppercut

There's a world title fight between Raul Rojas and Yoshiaki Numata back in the day in which Numata, who looks beaten, suddenly unloads a couple of huge uppercuts to finish Rojas in the fifth round. You can see them from the 5:50 mark:

In the fights above he remembered to show the fish the bait before he caught them I believe that was the difference

Ben Davison obv much more of a technical analyst (at least in his own mind lol) but he has that Adam Smith cliche repetitive quality the prick….
