Amazing.
The worse part would be that he could nail this poo. I know he can...always.
You never know what can happen
Good point. Especially in the time of Covid.

Hedgemon Lewis by John H Stracey.
John H at his very best.
Controlled aggression and pressure on a very good, durable and motivated challenger. John H was the Guv'nor that night. Breaking down all resistance of the American and stopping him in the tenth round.

Yep, Stracey walked through the American and looked set for a long reign. Sadly, the end was horribly near.

The great Eusebio Pedroza when he lost his crown against Barry McGuigan said that it is tough to beat an opponent in London, England.

This comes from one of the greatest road warriors ever that got an all-time record for most title defenses in an opponent's home turf.

Not quite what you’re after in terms of big names but a couple of fighters that were brought over to win and didn’t, Rico Hoye v Clinton Woods and Herol Graham v Chris Johnson

In the days when boxing was different, a good fighter who boxed at a high level but didn't win his eliminator so never got his shot.

No penta continentals in those days

Harry dominated their first fight until a cut ruled him out. Everyone thought his performance was a fluke but he licked Carter in the rematch to prove without doubt that he was the better man. It has to be said that Carter was past his best.

I read about Harry Scott's fight with Emile Griffith a year later and he had a week to prepare and lose a stone! :brick: Griffith was reigning world welterweight champion so it would have been a steep hill for Scott to climb at his best.
