Yeah, it was good BUT a little too much playing up the political angle. Too much Reagan talk. Maybe sneak 5 mins in somewhere but to see it brought up multiple times each episode got a little tiresome to me. Great footage though and some good insights. I enjoyed it overall. 8/10, but with less politics, could have been 9/10.

I'm dying to see this, but it's not available in the UK as far as I can see.

Yeah, I didn't finish it. Perhaps I'm a victim of my fandom, but absolutely nothing I didn't know, plus the political shit. Did they go into Leonard beating the shit out of his wife?chrisjs1985 wrote: ↑24 Jun 2021, 18:11 Yeah, it was good BUT a little too much playing up the political angle. Too much Reagan talk. That's why I enjoyed your book so much. Showtime is pretty notorious for telling me shit I already know. Their Liston doc was beyond disappointing.chrisjs1985 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 19:09No. Ray was flawless.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 13:19Yeah, I didn't finish it. I'm glad you enjoyed the book! Yes, I got lucky with what I found and was given. I agree on the Liston documentary. Really looked forward to that and it was a bit meh.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 19:54That's why I enjoyed your book so much. Showtime is pretty notorious for telling me shit I already know. I have three subjects in mind. I have authorization on two of them and a lot of materials. One is Harada, who I have so much from Japanese so will be such rare information. No, a Mouzon book would be special though. There's so many guys I want to write on it gets really hard to narrow down. The Jofre one was a must and I was very clear minded on that one but I'll admit it's proving difficult to settle on my second subject.
