Every time I see a clip of Fury it annoys me these days,. I used to like him as well,. Each passing story or clip I see of him I'm becoming more convinced glovegate is a serious possibility
Re: Tyson Fury deadlifting latest
I agree, apart from the last comment. He seems to have really changed since Feb 2020. I think he’s content with what he’s done and has started to rely on the fanfare and respect of the combat world.handsofstone wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 08:36 Every time I see a clip of Fury it annoys me these days,. I’m certain he doesn’t want to take a fight with Joshua, as a loss to him will 100% ruin the facade he’s created.
I think he should hang them up, and this is one of my favourite fighters.

His young son is in that video and no boxing people. Always a sign with Tyson.
Re: Tyson Fury deadlifting latest
There's a video somewhere of him pulling some decent weight. Looked around 450-500lb. Forgotten where i saw it. His technique was terrible but he's a big old lump so he can get away with it.

Sadly me too although don’t believe glovegate. Fury has come across a bit arrogant and I’ve heard some rumours of a recent bad attitude. He really was my favourite heavy, but now I find him rather disappointing and doesn’t even seem interested in boxing.handsofstone wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 08:36 Every time I see a clip of Fury it annoys me these days,. The Juggernaut is probably my favourite heavy now.

I'm veering that way myself. Joyce is a man you can really get behind, seems like a top fella.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 16:50Sadly me too although don’t believe glovegate. He’s just a kind of guy who it’d be cool to hang out with. I had a friend who chatted to him in a bar it was pre Rio years and he was wearing a Spider-Man suit; I think it was someone’s birthday. He took some selfies. He said Joe was lovely guy and really friendly and interested. I can’t believe he could have any haters. #nohomo this sounds a bit groupie like LOL

I get the impression he is extremely chill for a massive man who makes his living punching people in the headJamesPhilips wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 17:22Unique boxing personality, life and prob boxing style too lol.Gnome wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 17:17I'm veering that way myself. It’s like fury is great in the hard times on the way up / comeback. But the second he gets to the pinnacle he can’t be bothered any more.

And get a thpinal injury!
Re: Tyson Fury deadlifting latest
I said here not so long ago it's a precarious thing having the respect of boxing fans; and Fury could quite easily lose his fan base pretty quickly.
One of our regulars here with a Traveler crush totally disagreed as expected .. but it's already happening; Fury is becoming more & more a preaching, fake social media whore with less and less substance.
When he loses; and I predict it will be in a devastating crushing defeat that totally destroys the getting off the canvas heroic image he has played off since .. we will see a spectacular sink into the abyss as he turns from hero to zero.

I think the worst thing that that’s happened to him is inactivity. He needs to be training properly in the gym and be having 2 fights a year. Having almost 2 years without a fight does him no favours.

After this year ends we’LL know if he’s the next riddick bowe. He’s got all the talent in the world and some big scalps but he could have done a lot more. Let’s see.

I don’t know, Riddick Bowe was quite brain damaged it seemed to me when he was finished. I think he’d taken a deceptive amount of punishment along the way. Fury seems quite unscathed in comparison. I’d agree he’s heading for a fall at some point. I’d guess the 300 pound heavyweight idea will undo him in the end, with his cardio letting him down against one of the other Brits. But don’t you think he’d make quite a good pundit/commentator? I don’t think he’ll necessarily go off the rails in retirement Bowe style. He’s got his family and a nice detached house on the canal over near Lancaster/Morecambe area. It’s all quite modest and sensible in comparison to Herbie Hide’s self-built mansion and non-stop party life from back in the day.high tower 1 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 17:22 After this year ends we’LL know if he’s the next riddick bowe. With bowe I was referring more to lack of discipline when he’d got to the top. No idea what life Tyson lives. And yeah he should be a good pundit. When he’s on form he’s v funny.polecateddy wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 17:34I don’t know, Riddick Bowe was quite brain damaged it seemed to me when he was finished. He's also earned 50 times more than Hide.polecateddy wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 17:34I don’t know, Riddick Bowe was quite brain damaged it seemed to me when he was finished. He owns property in Vegas too.

After Wilder with his benching and now this it’s making me like Joshua more. Unreal that.

Re: Tyson Fury deadlifting latest
Anyone who believes that lame ass conspiracy theory (glovegate) clearly knows nothing about boxing whatsoever.
I wish I could have seen what he was deadlifting there, how much weight it was. I've seen him in the past deadlift quite a lot of weight for a man of his height. Tall people usually struggle mightily with certain lifts.
I wonder if this wasn't a mocking response to Wilder struggling to bench press 300 lbs some weeks ago. Anyways physical strength means very little in boxing.
