Yeah, when people were looking, then I bet soon as your backs turned he chopped off one of old Missus Badcrumbles toes and stole her half made knitted scarecrow.

Love the old “I met Charlie Bronson / kray / Frankie Fraser , nicest guy you could ever come across” brigade

Just because they said hello and didn’t chop your cock off .

If I'm not mistaken Shaw was a boxer in his youth. Lenny was largely an illusion. He may very well have been the toughest door man in all of England, but it's a well-known fact that these fights being billed as matches to the death were largely fixed or were guys who were damaged goods in some way.

Yeah , don’t doubt both would have a go

But the mystique either were more than rough guys is crazy

I think Bobby Gunn, who Enzo smoked in a round, is one of the top unlicensed/ Bare knuckle guys on the scene now

The BKB scene has changed a lot over the past few years. The Gunn's, McDonagh's, etc--- have all been replaced by more respectable and younger athletes as evident in organizations like BKFC featuring competitors from the MMA and gloved boxing world.

That being said, the best of the hardmen (strictly bareknuckle) I'd venture to say are Paddy Jaws Ward and Davey Joyce. Then again they had amateur boxing pedigrees to begin with. But they belong to no organization, just straight up mixers wherever they can be staged.

I think it was more than that. Because when Frank used to be on this website he basically said he started out his promotional career in the unlicensed circuit and Lenny was the main attraction. And to his own admission a lot of his fights were fixed.

Can’t see anyone terrorising frank. He’s too belligerent and stubborn.

The reviews for that are well funny!

"5.0 out of 5 stars A good book for entertainment

It opens up people's book of life and tells me many things that I would never have experienced in my life. It was simple and funny in places. It's easy to read and it gave me laughters. If you are interested in this sort of stories and perhaps you are related to anything mentioned to the book, this is a nice choice. It's more like a personal diary than any other sophisticated novel, quite suitable for people like me don't want to think hard after work.
