Great win for Leigh Wood and for British boxing. Dont get Andy Lees scorecard at all. I had it 9-2 after 11

Some win for Leigh Wood, he’s always been incredibly talented but couldn’t get any meaningful fights for ages after getting stopped by Gavin McDonnell (in a fight he was coasting).

Hopefully he gets a world title shot now. Galahad would be tasty, former Ingle gym mates.

Bellew made an ass of himself, don't know what he was watching either, saying Can was going to come on strong. he was getting pegged back all night to that point.

How the WBA justify having a WBA world champion being superseded by the WBA super world champion is baffling .

Galahad, Walsh, jazza, etc all best wood. Can was awful, there’s nothing in woods left hand he holds out all u have to watch for is the right hand . He has no inside game or the look of someone with a solid chin, so the gameplan should be get inside and stay inside. Xu fought like a slightly more active version of Sid razak tbh

But we’ll done from him tonight.

Fvcking get in there Leigh Wood, bogus title but a great win over a highly ranked opponent, thought he was pretty much punch perfect tonight, thought Can was bang average, output was poor, landed some sharp punches but Wood landed all the eye catching punches, the jab, straight right, right uppercuts, the body work was amazing and matched Can punch for punch and controlled him pretty easily, a lot of his work might have been blocked and partially blocked by Can but plenty still got through, he switched lefty and was equally comfortable I had him a mile up going into the 12th, icing on the cake for the finish, decked Can with a sweet right then forced a stoppage, not sure if there's any qualms about the stoppage but personally I had Wood by a country mile

Crazy how differently they saw the fight compared to literally everyone else.

Sometimes you see they’re just getting it wrong (like tonight) and sometimes you can see they’re bias for the home / house fighter.

Boxing is sad.
I wanna see Wood banged out for calling himself a world champion.
Good fighter, great fight tonight.
That’s an old school intercontinental title win… at best.

It's such a subjective sport when fights are close like the one earlier , but it looked so one sided from where I was sitting .
My eyes are getting really bad and thought I was seeing things when Lee's scorecard came up in the 11th .
I'll forgive him though for being an all round top fella .
