“I think Dmitry Bivol’s the fight. He’s ready. We promote him, we’ve spoken to Vadim [Kornilov], his manager, and Andriy Rybinskiy, World Of Boxing, they want the fight, they’ve been looking for that breakout fight for some time,” said Eddie Hearn to iFL TV on Canelo’s next potential fight.
“I think it’s a really, really good fight, a tough fight. So, we’ll have to see.”
“I spoke to Saul last night a couple of times, and we’re just looking to make the and I think the decision is, do we go September 18th?” said Hearn. “But it’s seven weeks tomorrow, so it’s any day that decision.” @ BN24
Good fight if it's get made! Canelo is fighting champions and strong opponents!
I saw the fight between Bivol and Richards, and indeed Richard was a tough tricky opponent although his resume doesn't suggest that but Bivol boxed well considering that his last fight was on 2019-10, so he had some ring rust. Also people forget that this is Bivol's style. He ain't a puncher. His fight vs the unknown Lenin Castilo was a 12 rds UD win too.
Imo the fight should be at 175 like Canelo fought vs Kovalev, no cw as he had vs Lara 155, Khan 155 and Chavez Jr 164. Anyway Canelo is a stocky-large fighter and 175 is fitting him well.
