Forget that we treat the idiots and each other the same way; there's a special type of love that we put into torturing you and molding you into a future poster here. First, we have to break down your will. No one admits that his will gets broken down while posting here, but it happens to all of us, even the researchers and writers. Next, we will rebuild you:
Foreman--That was the fight with the loosened ropes and the 9 second ten count from Zack Clayton. Foreman was so out of shape he was tired before three rounds were over.
Frazier---Eddie Futch betrayed his own fighter and gave human punching bag Ali the win. That was no "knockout" for Ali.
In comparison Frazier knocked Ali flat on his back and beat Ali thoroughly.
Ali never scored a knockdown against Frazier in the 41 rounds they fought.
Liston---FAKES
Quarry I---Quarry had a cut just below his hairline---ONLY a butt can cause such a cut.
Bonavena---The so-called referee let Ali foul like mad in the first round and then TOOK THE ROUND AWAY FROM BONAVENA on a foul.
The referee did not make Ali go to a nuetral corner when Bonavena was down from a forearm smash to the face in the final round
EVERYTHING the so-called referee did in that fight stunk to high heavens.
Ellis---Ellis was barred from fighting in many locales at that time because of his failing eyesight.
Lyle---Disputed ending. Ali lost every round before the disputed ending.
NORTON---In the three fights Ali still hasn't beaten Norton.
WHERE WAS THE KNOCKOUT?
YOUNG--Ali didn't win a round
WHERE WAS THE KNOCKOUT?
Leon Spinks--Ali lost to a novice
WHERE WAS THE KNOCKOUT?
Doug Jones---Ali took a beating from a fighter 25 pounds lighter than he was.
WHERE WAS THE KNOCKOUT?
Henry Cooper--Ali got knocked down by a fighter 25 pounds lighter than he was.
HATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just curious, Matty
Do you watch a lot of the Oprah Winfrey show?
LOL
who is that?? yeah i agree i should have writen more, but i dont think i should waste my short life with a man who called doug jones a better boxer than Muhammad Ali. (no offense, im sure ur a great guy)
granberry, you are an example of a contributor with unusual and exotic opinions, perhaps just what we need around here. Your willingness to go toe to toe with those who have great knowledge of the sport and then in addition drop impressive names into the mix are to be admired. Maybe just what is needed to keep thinking folks on their toes.
you are on the brink of trolling for reaction and yet you add just a touch of what some might call "activated ignorance" for style points. I have heard by way of PM of your assessements and was summoned to review your work. The "activated ignorance" statement is simply opinon on behalf of some judging this situation.
You seem passionate, opinionated, armed with information and controversial. Could you have visited here before, perhaps using another moniker? Just curious fella named terpwrap or terap held similar style and views.
Please follow the rules and keep it civil. Otherwise the rare and paradoxical opinions you hold can simply be added to our wealth of give and take here at the BOTP.
Now let's hear your opinion on two of the greatest fighters the world has ever known, Archie Moore and Carlos Monzon. And remember these two fighters are stocks I am highly invested in. I'm just testing myself to see if I can withstand your assault in order to better understand the pain that others are feeling.
Oh and sometimes, just sometimes, the very best (of which you seem to be so polarized by) become well known, successfull, admired, rich and critically acclaimed simply because their genius and skills are universally recognized. No "media conspiracy" exists in my humble opinion.
you admirably passed the armstrong test...however I'm not sure I'm completely on board with your louis opinion. And though I disagree with you regarding Ali and Hagler I sort of get how someone could be drawn to those conclusions I suppose. If nothing else because it's such a repetitive drumbeat.

I just hope and I mean truly hope that you didn't used the kind of language you use in here when the students disagree with you. Oh I hate to think that but maybe this is why kids this day have no respect for the elders.

Don't be an old fart. Once the school day's over, teachers are just regular people.
I know, I was just joking.
Looks like you didn't do so well in the "recognizing sarcasm" portion of 10th-grade English.
Take away his power and he would have had to have developed a different way of fighting in order to successful in any kind of way. he'd basically cease to be the George Foreman we know and this thread would vanish in a ....
