So rather than Daniel fighting Trevor Bryan on this card, he’s actually fighting Joe Cusumano.

I’ve never heard of him before and his record is ropey as hell padded with wins against losing opponents.

Another poor test for Daniel that will do little to prepare him for a more meaningful fight.

I haven’t seen him fight but it’s another really soft opponent for Daniel. I’d have much rather seen him in with someone credible.

I think a lot of people here are making a big jump from Tommy Fury fighting on the undercard of a Paul brother fight to actually fighting Jake or Logan.

Why would they fight a guy who is completely unknown in the US, especially as he's actually trained in boxing & is nearer their size when there are still so many undersized UFC fighters who prefer to grapple rather than strike that are on the verge of retirement & looking for a final big payday?

agree.....total unknown in us, good size, and obviously more experienced in boxing than previous paul opponents.

maybe they are overestimating his uk drawing power and expect it to be some 'global' smash hit?

I had a feeing Sky would pick it up. Because they picked up Logan. And not like Sky have any issue picking up a card with Dubois on it. There’s not more restrictions for them.

Don't blame Tommy Fury, he is doing exactly what he should.

Pasting an MMA guy with a 0-1 record, for the amount of exposure he will get on the Jake Paul card. You would have to be dumb not too, especially when it may set up the Paul vs Fury fight.

Tommy Fury has hit gold for his branding. Good luck to him.

Jake Paul paying "out of his own pocket" to ensure Tommy Fury earns career-high purse

Jake Paul claims he turned down a higher purse for his fight with Tyron Woodley so that the fighters on his undercard could earn career-high pay-days.

The YouTube star has been an outspoken critic of UFC boss Dana White - and promoters in general - for under-paying their fighters.

But he has put his money where his mouth is to ensure Amanda Serrano, Daniel Dubois and even rivals Tommy Fury and Tyron Woodley earn bigger purses by taking a personal pay cut.

"It's coming out of my pockets for sure," Paul explained to Mirror Fighting . "Like, directly out of my purse.

"Everyone on the card is getting the biggest pay-day that they've ever had as a fighter and that's just part of my movement.

"Look, these fighters deserve more and I want everyone to be excited and I want everyone to know that we as fighters should take care of each other."

Paul has proven divisive within the MMA and boxing communities but has earned praise for his involvement in the fighter pay discussion.

Woodley, who fought in six different UFC world title bouts, including on a Conor McGregor card, will earn a career-high purse for fighting Paul in his boxing debut.

And legendary multiple-weight unified champion Serrano will also receive the most she has made during her 45-fight career.

Paul, in fact, has proven a remarkable case study in the true value of free agency in combat sports, appearing on five different platforms in his five bouts.

He made his white-collar boxing debut on a self-promoted YouTube live pay-per-view with brother Logan and British social media stars KSI and Deji.

He then appeared on DAZN for his professional debut, before fighting on standard PPV on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr and Fite TV for his Triller Fight Club bout with Ben Askren.

He is now working with Showtime and his own promotion 'Most Valuable Promotions' to put on the Woodley bout.

"That's how it should be, I think," Paul said when asked about his ability to move around. "Let's put the power back into the fighters' hands and that's really what I'm trying to show.

"If you bring the audience, then you should be able to do whatever deals and fight whoever you want."

Paul's stance on these issues has earned him criticism, particularly from White.

The UFC chief has said he doesn't believe reports that Paul's last fight did the 1.5million pay-per-view buys his promoters Triller Fight Club claimed.

And he even questioned the legitimacy of Paul's bout with Ben Askren, saying he "doesn't know" if he "truly believes" the result of the fight.

Asked what he would say to UFC supremo White if they were face-to-face, Paul said he should "suck a d***".
