The SHW Pero lost to the American Torrez today. He scored some good counters, but he was lazy and tired from the plodding onslaught of Torrez. Overall, Cuba rocks this year.
I wouldn’t say Pero was lazy. The work rate was crazy for super heavies. Torrez just a touch busier

Surmeneli is fun to watch. Skilled, slick, hard-hitting and with a fun character. She was outclassing everyone.

Hong has a decent skillset, but she won't deal with Surmeneli's tricks and power in the finale.

Jalolov was rocked by Clarke a bit and given a count in the 2nd, but overall the Jolly was in control. The fight was stopped on Clarke's reopened cut in the 3rd.

What a performance by Torrez. Surprisingly he outboxed Kunkabayev, knocked him down and cut him badly with a clean punch.

I thought Clarke did quite well. He was competitive with a very good boxer.

Lopez is a really good boxer. Whittaker’s got a good fast jab but Lopez’s head movement is terrific and he’s out boxing a naturally bigger man.

Lopez simply had more class than Whittaker. Well-deserved.

Yep. Impressive to win consecutive golds in 2 different divisions.

Ben was crying with disappointment after getting his silver. Will almost certainly turn pro now. Hopefully he’ll still be able to make light-heavy as a pro.

He boxed as if he was happy with Silver, but cried afterwards.

Yeah. The only way he was going to beat the Cuban was by massively out working him and he didn’t come close to doing that.

Ben Whittaker just stand with hands in his pockets during victory ceremony and did put silver medal on his pocket too. Really disgusting. Even more disgusting when you realize he clearly lost to cuban and he could easily lost to russian in semis.

Did he? What a bellend. He clearly lost. I thought he was a classy boxer but as said he got 2 close decisions that could’ve gone other man’s way and then starts crying when he doesn’t get gold when clearly outpointed and he wasn’t busy enough. Well at least I have a new boxer to hate on

One can understand ceremony is right after fight and emotions are high. Also, boxer dont see fight as a fan, sometimes he think he won. On the other side, Pat Mccormack lost yesterday and took that L like a man.

It's not a good look when he clearly lost. What is he like as a personality? I don't know much about him.

The Irish and Thai girls boxed well. The Irish one got the SD. It was pleasing, as the Thai girl hadn't deserved a dec over Dubois in my eyes.

The Brazilian girl scored a UD over the Finnish one comfortably. Ireland vs Brazil gotta be intriguing in the finale. Gotta root for the Irish girl.

Yafai won in an awful robbery. The Kazakh is a warrior. Yafai won the 1st round convincingly, but the Kazakh outfought Yafai clearly in the next 2 rounds. What a sh!tty decision!

I was ok with the decision. I thought round 1 was clear Yafai whilst in rounds 2/3 I thought the Kazakh landed more shots but the better shots came from Yafai.

A close fight but not a robbery for me.

That f*cking Sousa always had dodgy decisions. Bakshi won at least the 2nd round, which was also scored against him.

Khyzhniak will overwhelm the Brazilian.

Batyrgaziev outboxed Ragan and won the Olympic Gold. Of course, 3:2. He won all 3 rounds FFS.
