Question: How are the rankings affected by
My vote: No change.
He obviously did something for us collectively rank him up there..gregregegg wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 16:10 Hunter to 9. Was going to move him down to 12 but relised that puts him below the pensioners pulev and Ortiz.
If you can only go down for losing then you can be inactive and fight bums and hold your ground forever.
He beat bakole and kuzman… who themselves have had a fall from grace in how people rate them I think. And drew with Pov who was old (although nothing at all like the post covid version whyte stopped). They are fine in a slow division, and to get you somewhere, for me though those 3 results arnt quality enough to keep you there when you regress to beating binmen.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 16:27He obviously did something for us collectively rank him up there..gregregegg wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 16:10 Hunter to 9. if someone thinks he's too high to start, of course they can move him down even if he winsRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 12:16 Keep him where he is.
Still won, shouldn't move down. Can't move him up.
No one below is even making waves..![]()
what a crap division.
The fact is we put him there and the guys below aren’t doing shït. They’re hardly even fighting or winning at least.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 17:21if someone thinks he's too high to start, of course they can move him down even if he winsRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 12:16 Keep him where he is.

Agreed, Hunter to #9
It was our votes that put him there in the first place. So how does he drop after a win?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑06 Aug 2021, 14:33 there is absolutely nothing wrong with dropping a guy after a win if you think he's too high to start with
and boxing isnt just about winning, but actually winning meaningful fights
Meh, we don't do that generally. Can't remember someone going down after a win, even a against a can.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑06 Aug 2021, 14:38 rankings are something which involve ongoing reassessment. there is absolutely nothing about beating mike wilson that is impressive or should obligate people not to demote hunter if they thought he was too high to start.
his rating has been questioned several times before this vote. the nature of the vote is also that we can only touch a fighter if they've actually fought, which hunter has done only twice in 2 years. now it's a rare case that he's up for a vote and a lot of people think he's too high, i just dont see any problem at all with lowering his ranking
