Porn Hub is free, if you wanna knock one out, watch that.

Box ticking pish. Does my nut in.
That won’t be the only reason but she’ll help in promoting the shows. 2.3m insta followers - a lot of which will be sports fans that may not know there’s boxing on DAZN.

She’s a good presenter. Doesn’t have any boxing experience but she doesn’t need to so long as there are 2 experts there to debate things.
It’s a tough sell even to the casuals. Most of whom would have had Sky for watching football thus boxing was already accessible. When they stick the price up by another fiver or whatever I think the subs will drop. They’ll not shell out a hard earned tenner just to watch some tidy bird talk sh1te to a matchroom yes man. Or maybe they will?

Joshua and Fury are the main draws for casuals and only on the PPV platform.
Of course people won’t fork out a tenner to ‘watch some titty bird’ but would people pay £7.99 a month to have a boxing show every week including Dillian Whyte (who gets 300k Ppv buys), Chisora, Conor Benn, likely Canelo and various others - they probably will as most causals don’t care who’s presenting.

The issues they have at the moment are potentially the frequency of shows - there aren’t many on the horizon on DAZN. Hopefully with Canelo now being confirmed for November they can announce their shows in the US and they can get a few more U.K. shows confirmed.

They also need to get wider exposure to making people aware of the fights/DAZN. Jama helps pushing it on social but they need to get a linear broadcast partner to help promote it. Jama is well known so having her involved makes that easier.

The last 2 weeks have been tricky competing against the noise from the Olympics and next weekend will be tricky with it being the first weekend of the premier league. Hopefully they’ll be able to make a big go pushing the Warrington show with Katie Taylor and likely Conor Benn.

This PC bollocks has gone too far.
You don’t think a good chunk of her insta followers are male sports fans aged 18+? She was on that show with Peter Crouch last summer on BBC1 which rated well and gave her more exposure.

Also not too sure what’s PC about getting a well known presenter on the show. As I said before presenters are there to keep the show flowing - they’re not there to offer insight - that’s the experts and as long as there’s more than one then they can debate.

I love it when anyone gets into boxing, Maya Jama only done 2 shows she's been solid so far, Bellew done a good job of carrying her tbf, Anna Woolhouse is good as well, no issue with the sisters

Holly Willoughby is also a good presenter - but I wouldn't be impressed if she was on the presenting team either.
Who should they have got then?

If your opinion is that of the majority - then I'd say Holly Willoughby would do just fine😑

Holly would be fine because she’s a good live TV presenter who doesn’t work off a script and would be able to market the sport and app to several million people.

I missed your original question (if it was aimed at me) but as long as there are a few pundits there to discuss the technical aspects and to debate then the presenter should make things flow well, have a rapport with the rest of the team and not be awkward. It’s a bonus if they can aid in promotion.

If she only had one expert with her then it’d be a lot tougher for her but I thought she was absolutely fine last night.

I just old fashioned mate.
I think the women presenters/hosts are as useless to the show as the adverts were on Sky .. but I am aware that others enjoy them

Each to their own I say.

Yeah - we’re all different.

I’d much rather a decent female presenter though over 50 minutes of adverts (including between rounds) in a 4 hour broadcast.

Her fans want to show support.

It would be easier to tune into a channel like Sky for that.

For this, you have to subscribe £2 p/m

And that’s gonna be increasing probably Sometime after next week.

I enjoyed the show.

In the first 3 fights the 'opponents' came to fight. OK, they weren't brought in to win but that's boxing. They earnt their purses.

The English title fight was good viewing. Didn't get past round 1 but both lads went for it.

The main event was interesting if not particularly competitive after the first couple of rounds. Kid Galahad was just too good for Jazza Dickens on the night. That happens in boxing too.

Mind you, given I downloaded it for free and was thus able to FF thru any waffle I didn't like the look of ie Mr Bellew, to complain would be churlish of me. :TU:
