It didn't even have a UK broadcaster. Pacquiao is done he's 42?
As for Pac Ugas PPv, that's a flop but it possibly won't even happen. People will say PAC is finished and who is Ugas?

will manny take a reduced guarantee or something, cant imagine a fight vs ugas will do nearly as well plus then it's manny's last fight on his pbc deal , you'd think theyd wanna try extra hard to get him for someone from pbc they wanna make a star

Ugas was an accomplished amateur, with something like a 96-4 record, including a win over Crawford. (If that matters) In many people's eyes he deserved the win over Porter. Good boxer, but is 35 now with some health issues over the last year. He's definitely game though.peter barlow wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021, 07:44 It didn't even have a UK broadcaster. Top Rank and PBC shows were often covered by Fite TV in the UK.peter barlow wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021, 07:44 It didn't even have a UK broadcaster. Pacquiao is done he's 42?

However, now that Bob Arum has filled the void created by Eddie Hearn's departure, Top Rank shows will probably be covered by Sky Sports in the UK from now on.
I expect the PBC will continue having their in-house bouts exclusively broadcast by Fite TV for the foreseeable future.

I saw my first boxing match in 1968 - George Foreman winning the Olympics, on our family's first color TV. I've watched ever since, so have seen quite a few good boxers. I think Spence would have been competitive in any era. Of course he's beatable, but far from what I would call a fraud. That's downright crazy, but whatever.H8Usernames wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021, 08:47100% Fraudulent and what a stupid question.

It's bad for boxing having those fights on Fite TV. Conlan card too last week.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021, 09:26Top Rank and PBC shows were often covered by Fite TV in the UK.peter barlow wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021, 07:44 It didn't even have a UK broadcaster. Pacquiao is done he's 42?

Isn't Haymons Fox deal finished this year and not being renewed? Will likely cause various issues

There are rumours claiming that the PBC's deal with Fox is being terminated before it reaches its previously agreed four-year expiry date.peter barlow wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021, 09:47Isn't Haymons Fox deal finished this year and not being renewed? Will likely cause various issues
However, the same alleged source (cited by The RING and other boxing media outlets) also went on to claim the PBC will end up moving to CBS.
There are always lots of rumours circulating the web alleging the PBC's demise, but most of the time they end up being debunked.
There were people from the forum seriously complaining about the quality of the free-to-air boxing shows being funded by the PBC and were celebrating the rumours of their demise, only to end up being outraged when it announced multi-year deals with Showtime and Fox in 2018.
The big players in the sport always end up moving broadcasters every few years.
For instance:
• GBP previously had deals with HBO and ESPN, but jumped ship to Showtime. And now they’re on DAZN.
• Top Rank and Main Events were also with HBO and made the jump to ESPN. And Top Rank recently replaced Matchroom, by providing boxing content for Sky.
• Queensberry Promotions used to work with ITV and then made the jump to Sky. They eventually moved networks to Box-Nation and now they’re aligned with BT and ITV (again). They also previously had a boxing content partnership with Top Rank, with some of their shows televised by ESPN.
• Matchroom was initially with ITV, moved to Sky and now they’re exclusively with DAZN.
I don’t think the PBC is going to go out-of-business. They’ll find a new home network. It's like a game of musical chairs.

Way I see it is: retire young man, you've already damaged your retina and wrapped a ferrari around a tree. Go join the army, start driving a truck or become a carpenter or something. You are no good for boxing so maybe you can do some good elsewhere.

You obviously don't believe that I am Terence. As for what I wrote it was written in a very relaxed and compassionate way. Getting koed at higher weights and damaging that eye more isn't going to help this man any with his life. You don't want this fellow to have a good life?gregregegg wrote: ↑12 Aug 2021, 03:40Relax Terence.H8Usernames wrote: ↑12 Aug 2021, 03:39Way I see it is: retire young man, you've already damaged your retina and wrapped a ferrari around a tree. Bernard Hopkins Suspicious & Skeptical Of Errol Spence's Eye Injury
Bernard Hopkins fought as a professional boxer for 28 years and until he was a month shy of his 52nd birthday.
The Hall of Fame fighter and former middleweight and light heavyweight champion Hopkins (55-8-2, 32 KOs) has pretty much seen and heard it all throughout his time in the sport, which nowadays also involves being a partner with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.
The 56-year-old Philadelphia-bred Hopkins is currently in Frisco, Texas promoting the welterweight scrap slated to take place Saturday between Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Egidijus Kavaliauskas on DAZN.
Naturally, conversations Hopkins participated in led to the bigger picture at 147 pounds, and the recent cancellation of the Errol Spence Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight.
Spence Jr. said he suffered a torn left retina and was forced to the sidelines just 11 days before the much-anticipated Aug. 21 scheduled bout. Instead, Yordenis Ugas has since stepped in as a late replacement opponent to fight the Filipino senator.
Spence posted a picture of his patched up left eye on social media on Wednesday one day after his injury was disclosed. It was identified and discovered that Spence had the impairment during a pre-fight medical examination by the Nevada State Athletic Commission in Las Vegas on Monday.
Hopkins was skeptical of Spence’s injury.
"The only thing I can do is listen to what you said to me and listen to what I heard. That’s conversation and I don’t know if it’s true, if it’s not true. I like Spence, I respect Spence. I know he is always ready for any challenge. I just think … I just have some suspicions about this whole thing. I just think the way it manifested and came out suddenly and so fast … I’ll just say stay tuned. If you hear something other than what everyone was given and what was told. I think there is more to the story than what it is. But if it is true, I wish him a speedy recovery. But I just have to say that first because I want to be the first one that people say, ‘what did I know that everybody else didn’t first know’ or ‘what did I know that a few people did know but nobody was bold enough or brave enough to say it,’” Hopkins told both Little Giant Boxing and KO Artist Sports.
Spence is expected to make a full recovery and return to the ring, PBC announced.
Hopkins even went as far as suggesting that Spence should provide proof of his ailments.
"Again, if it’s the case then I think we all should see it. It can be an eye issue. It can be business. It could be lack of. The whole thing … it’s been told and most people probably will believe it. Most people won’t dare to question it or ask for more details. I’m the type of person, I’ll show the X-ray to the world. If I’m ready to fight, I’ll say ‘look, it’s a hairline fracture or it’s a straight cut-through broken bone,’” said Hopkins.
“When it's … and let me tell you something; a detached retina or a slightly detached retina is no joke. You gotta take that seriously. Nobody wants to play and say they have something and don’t have it. It's like someone saying they got cancer and they don’t have it. So, I’m just saying, I’m always suspicious about things coming out of nowhere. And I know most people are gullible. They will eat it and they will take it and repeat it. I don’t repeat anything … I’m conscious of repeating anything that I don’t have more to it and I got other questions or I got other reasons to think different.
"I’ll say, if it is the case, I wish Errol Spence a speedy recovery. I think he’s a future Hall of Famer and is getting bad deals (injuries) if that’s the case on that issue. If it’s something else, then someone else will reveal it. If not, then it will go away and hopefully they will reschedule. But it’s nothing to play with.”

all he could've said is 'where's proof of the torn retina' not insinuating a bunch of bs.
