buatsi needs to fight robin KRASNIQI next. For one it’s the right levle, but big bonus you could make it for the WBA reg world title and IBO world title. Now for most people here (especially me) these belts are meaningless trash, but sometimes you need little trinkets to get you good fights.
Once he has then he could use them to try make fights with Richards, aurther, yarde, Johnson. They are the fights he needs for the next 12 months and with the trinkets they might be possible and might build some hype. then he can eye a real belt December 2022.. (probably at 175 but I also think he has to eye 168 if the opportunity is there because he is a small light heavy).

Yeah, not sure which path he's being lined up for at the moment but he looked sharp tonight.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 18:36 btw joe cordina looks solid, but just on the surface seems like they dont have much of a plan for him other than to just throw him on random undercards as filler, bringing over an unknown 10-3 american just seems kinda 'no direction'

what are the chances fwank matches any of his guys, probably as underdogs, vs one of eddeh's top rising boys?
cross stable matches are almost always fantasy with little chance of happening
krasniqi would be do able though, another euro level guy and buatsi could prob do with another run out at that level, though i think krasniqi would be a much easier fight for him than ricky was

Cross stable is always hard, no doubt. That’s why you gotta win the wba reg belt first. Then publicly send a good offer to who you wanna fight, and then pray them and there manager force To an extent frank can’t stop it. Get them to publicly come out and say that’s what they want…margaret thatcher wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 18:44 what are the chances fwank matches any of his guys, probably as underdogs, vs one of eddeh's top rising boys?

Frank’s stop if Jenkins was the most brutal stop iv seen. but I think the public and fighters noticed. He can’t keep doing that shit or no manager will let there prospects sign with him.

Agreed. This is gonna sound controversial but Joe Ward would beat him tooKiwiRider wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 18:24I'm going to say both Smiths for now. Joe for the KO, and Callum for a reasonable points win.

Aye I know what you mean but I always like to see a count even if you abandon it , Bolotniks wasn't cold, he was definitely spent though so it was right call in the endBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 18:24Give the guy a count ? I agree in principle, but not in this case, Bolotniks was definitely done from what I could see. He was near horizontal for a good 5 mins afterward.handsofstone wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 18:12 Fvck sake ref give the guy a count, great fight though, a real gut check for Buatsi, had to dig deep there, Bolotniks is one hard bastard, the punches he stood up to were flush, always fired back with hard punches of his own, Buatsi wide open for they winging shots, especially the right he took in the 1st,, he boxed well though behind the jab, got to work, dropped Bolotniks with a peach of a left hook in the 6th but emptied the the tank going for the finish and Bolotniks was on top by the 7th digging some big shots to the body as well as the haymakers
In fairness to Buatsi even when he gassed he kept his composure and worked hard to not to allow Bolotniks to get on top, he recovered and walked Bolotniks down, started to target the body more and then finished Bolotniks off with a big right in the 11th, still would've liked to have seen a count

Super sharp. Guess his hand surgery was tested tonight, yes he can launch it at max powa!
So where to next for Joe

now that would be dope yall
Re: Round-by-Round: Joshua Buatsi vs. Ricards Bolotniks - 14 August 2021
Good effort by both boxers. Bolotniks acquitted himself extremely well, boding well for his pro boxing future if he plans to continue.
Like others have pointed out, Buatsi needs seasoning. He has all the tools but he MUST tighten up the defense to get where he wants to go. They have everything on vid to confirm what must be worked on.
Good, solid performance against a tough nut tonight.

Main thing buatsi needs to learn is head-movement.
Also I guess a lesson in the difference between having someone down and having someone hurt. Got reckless trying to jump on bolo who wasn’t very hurt and buatsi gassed as a result.
Fixes those two things he is very good, although small for the weight.

Apparently schooled him in sparring and has been fighting in world class in amateurs since 17 and had 15 WSB fights. Obviously as I said its controversial but Ward is super talented and has somewhat slipped under radar as he's USA based, but not getting the publicity . If he was in Eddeh's shows they would be raving.

No idea, clsssic frank, cards in 4 weeks and nearly no opponents announced. Guessing it won’t be great, I’m sure they are keeping Johnson on ice for yarde if he beats Arthur.KiwiRider wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 19:15 Anyone know who Callum Johnson is fighting next?

Great fight tonight, fairplay to both guys but whilst paying full respect to Bolotniks durability, wasnt he fairly limited ? It was a good learning fight but on the back of that win to say one more fight and he's ready for Biv or Beterb - who's eddie kidding.
Setting his sights more realistically - how would he cope with Lyndon's reach and jab ?

lyndon is a less realistic fight than bert or bivol
but it's a good question, how he would compare vs the other top british lhws. i think he's the best of yarde, arthur, johnson. all of course would be good fights but none will happen

OK, I'd definitely watch it. Just think Buatsi needs to be in some tough ten + rounders, and Ward has been doing 6'ersJamesPhilips wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 19:19Apparently schooled him in sparring and has been fighting in world class in amateurs since 17 and had 15 WSB fights. True but until tonight Buatsi hadn't been past 7 and was blowing out his arse after the 1st KD. His corner were sounding oddly emotional and panicked d at his lack of stamina. I think Buatsi Johnson is 50/50. Depending on odds I would have flutter on Callum. I venture Buatsi would get beaten by both Callums and both SmithsKiwiRider wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 19:26OK, I'd definitely watch it. shame - happens time and time again with top domestic fighters not facing each other.

let's see if joe ward could handle bolotniks
joe is a classy boxer for sure, but vs the last 2 guys he's faced he gives me a bit of an impression that he might lack some of the strength/pop for the higher levels, despite being an excellent am

another possibility for buatsi, if he's looking to face another euro level guy, but with a different style, would be the 2x euro champ igor mikalkin, who also took thomas oosthuzens 0 . he is a durable guy as well, kov pounded on him for 7 rounds but couldn tdrop him
