Pro Boxing card in Kabul Afghanistan today?!?

Post by Las Vegas boxing guy »

I'm just going to have to imagine that this card is going to be cancelled. If not, it's the most insane sports event in modern history.

Saturday 14, August 2021
event : Pul Pacha, Kabul, Afghanistan

middle Ahmad Samir Dawrani 7-0-1 vs Mohammad Fawad Malik debut

light Sayed Rohullah Katebi 4-0-0 vs Ali Reza Haidari debut

Are you sure that it's so crazy?

Western nations are sending in thousands of troops there these days to help with embassy, interpretor, staff etc evacuations so Kabul won't be taken in the next few weeks.

A good question is how the Taliban view boxing. If this is one of those deadly sins.

Other than that the Afghan people have lived under taliban rule before and they are used to it.
