Lamar Odom vs. Riddick Bowe - October 2, 2021 (Malignaggi On Undercard)
Lamar Odom To Fight Again Oct. 10 In Miami, Malignaggi Also On The Card
It appears Lamar Odom has no plans on walking off into the sunset.
On the heels of his first and only win inside a boxing ring, the former NBA forward has agreed to fight in another exhibition match on Oct. 10 in Miami, TMZ reports. An opponent has not been decided. The deal was made with Celebrity Boxing, the same company that staged Odom’s debut exhibition bout against former pop star Aaron Carter on June 12 in Atlantic City. At 6”10’, 239 1/2 pounds, Odom towered over the diminutive Carter, stopping him inside two rounds.
Celebrity boxing is run by former super middleweight Damon Feldman, who developed the concept nearly two decades ago. He is famous for enlisting the services of embattled celebrities, such as Joey Buttafuoco and Tonya Harding. Odom, best known for his championship run with the Los Angeles Lakers, helping the team win titles in 2009 and 2010, has battled drug addiction in retirement and nearly died of an overdose in 2015. He claims he is now sober.
“I’m excited that Lamar Odom just signed a contract – October 10th, Miami,” Feldman said in a video captured by TMZ as Odom stood next to him. "It’s on, man. Who’s going to step up?”
Although Feldman did not name any potential opponents for Odom, it seemed clear, judging by a recent post published on the Celebrity Boxing Instagram, whom he is most keen on: NBA player Tristan Thompson. Both players have had a long term relationship with Khloé Kardashian. Odom was married to Kardashian before divorcing her in 2016, while Thompson has had an on-again, off-again relationship with her. Thompson recently threatened Odom online after Odom left an appreciative comment underneath one of Kardashian’s bikini pictures that she posted on her Instagram. Thompson responded, “God brought you back the first time. Play if you want, different results.”
TMZ also reported that heavyweight great Riddick Bowe and former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi will appear on the same card as Odom. Bowe does not have an opponent, but Malignaggi is expected to take on social media personality Corey B.

It's former super middleweight Damon Feldman who's behind all this.
Been doing this for a while.

Riddick Bowe Vs. Lamar Odum On October 2; Paulie Malignaggi-Corey B On Under-Card
Make of this fight card what you will. It’s been announced by TMZ Sports how former heavyweight champ Riddick Bowe will return to action on October 2nd when he will face former NBA All-Star Lamar Odum in an exhibition bout (yes, yet another one).
The bout will take place at the James L. Knight Arena in Miami and will go out live on Fite TV.
Bowe, now aged 53 and, the last time we saw him, much overweight, has suffered money troubles over recent years, and plenty of people were alarmed when it was first announced he would be returning to the ring here in 2021.
But it’s happening, even if the Bowe-Odum affair will be an exhibition and not a real fight (we must wait and see what the particulars are, regarding the length of the bout, length of rounds, size of gloves, head-gear or no head-gear, etc.).
41-year-old Odum has fought before (sort of), with him scoring a KO win over Aaron Carter in June of this year. Bowe has not boxed since way back in 2008, and he has not looked anything like the great fighter who twice defeated Evander Holyfield since the 1990s. Again, make of this fight what you will.
But there’s more. Paulie Malignaggi is set to face social media star Corey B. Malignaggi was angered when Corey B recently played a trick on him during commentary duties, with the former two-weight world champion chasing his tormentor, the following scuffle being broken up by security.
Malignaggi later said he would beat Corey B with one hand tied behind his back. Like the Bowe-Odum bout, we have to wait and see what the rules will be for this one.
Will this card attract a big audience? Will Bowe be in any sort of fighting shape? Will the event prove to be one big embarrassment? Will YOU be tuning in? There really does seem to be no end to the exhibition carnival that really has exploded into existence over the last year or so. Above all, let’s hope Bowe does not get hurt.

Re: Lamar Odom vs. Riddick Bowe - October 2, 2021 (Malignaggi On Undercard)
I'd have thought Bowe would have fought someone who was a pro, that could have carried him a little in an exhibition.
Even though Bowe shouldn't even be in a exhibition either..
Odom is inexperienced, and Florida shouldn't be letting this happen.

"Florida shouldn't be letting this happen" Describes 90% of what happens in Florida. It apears as though florida is over-ran by a few inbread Oxy heads that now and then make the news for cheating on their sister with a particularly cute alligator... You are right Florida should not let this happen, but they have bigger problems to sort out first.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 05:57 I'd have thought Bowe would have fought someone who was a pro, that could have carried him a little in an exhibition.

A fair assessment. We should be ignoring this and doing our part in denying it the oxygen of publicity.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 Jul 2021, 09:47 'social media personality'

Riddick Bowe is not healthy enough to be fighting anyone.
He'd probably get beaten up by those random unathletic blokes that turn up to fight on the Streetbeefs YouTube channel.

Another freakshow. Normal fights aren't made, but there're different freakshows, rematch clauses and bridgerweights. Boxing, what's going on with ya?

We're in the announce an exhibition era now it seems.
After Tyson V Jones, Mike was supposed to fighting Holyfield, Lewis, Jones again or some fat bloke (which one?) from Family Guy, yet nothing.
Holyfield has also announced various exhibitions, but he hasn't got to an arena yet.
Bowe is now in on the action.
Will Riddick actually waddle to the ring and haul his ample girth through the ropes for real?
I'm not convinced.

Bowe will look so great in this exhibition that he will decide to make a real comeback, then take on a few scrub heavyweights and win. Then he will challenge Wilder and knock him out in 2 rounds, then take on Joshua and KO him in 4 rounds, then go after Fury and win by a late round TKO. This will all set up the 2 matches we wish would have happened decades ago: Bowe/Lewis and Bowe/Tyson.
Just kidding. I just hope Bowe wears headgear and neither him or Odom get too carried away and both have fun and stay healthy.

Due to the Holyfield fight,
Bowe is no longer fighting Odom.

Have they really pulled Bowe's fight because of the 58 year old ghost of Evander Holyfield?
I somehow doubt that is the real reason.

Bowes legal defense for kidnapping his family 20 years ago was brain damage from boxing. And here we are
